[The image opens to a rare sight: Tony and Bruce, attempting at least for now to look professional in front of the camera. On Bruce, it just means that he looks slightly more serious than normal, still as unassuming and haggard as ever. On Tony, it means that he looks a little too perfectly put together, like a team of stylists and PR personnel came through and worked him over before letting him out in public. Visually they look like opposing bookends, especially with the varying heights.

Bruce clears his throat. Public speaking is not his strong suit, and he's a bit grim from the Archive's disappearance, which he'd noticed very quickly. It makes it hard for him to talk business, with the idea of anyone replacing her patently impossible, but Bruce never lets sentiment get in his way.]
Hi. Uh… You might know us already, but there's been a lot of-- appearances and disappearances lately, so maybe not.

[ Tony chimes in then, with a brief half-smile toward the camera that’s recording them. ]

And if you don’t know us, I’m Tony Stark, CEO of Stark Industries. [ He nods toward Bruce. ] And this is Bruce Banner, Chief—Well, basically he’s my second-in-command. Officially, he’s—What did you put on the brochure, JARVIS? Head of Whatever? [ JARVIS did not, in fact, put anything on the brochure. That was all Tony. And since there’s no one else in view, it might look like he’s talking to thin air, especially since he keeps talking without waiting for anyone to respond to the question. ] Yeah, that’s his title. Anyway, since there’s so much turnover in the city, we wanted to let those of you looking for employment know that we are hiring. If you’re a scientifically or technologically minded individual with experience in the field. We’re a company, not a daycare, so, you know, some experience is required.

Though age isn't a precluding factor, [Bruce adds.] If you're brilliant at fifteen… you're still brilliant. We try to work on things that are related to our-- stated purpose here, but while we're waiting for developments, we're available to be commissioned. I did the hydroponics greenhouse about eight months ago, for example. It's still functioning. [Mostly run by NPCs at this point, but there's no reason to shut it down.

It may be obvious that Tony hasn’t been paying much attention to what Bruce is saying as he blinks abruptly and says, apropos to nothing: ]
And Head of Fun and Mischief. [ He winks conspiratorially at the screen, dropping his voice to a stage whisper that’s completely pointless, given that Bruce is sitting right there in earshot. ] I know he probably doesn’t look it, but Bruce is like the most fun guy I know. Which means he’s in charge of organizing the monthly office party. [ If Tony has any sympathy for dropping a ridiculous promotion on Bruce out of nowhere, he certainly doesn’t act like it. ]

--Wait, what? [Bruce was trying to get through all the things he wanted to say without fumbling too much, which is really all the goal he usually has when posting, and it takes him a second to realize that Tony isn't just going off on a brief tangent, he's going off the track entirely.] I decline the position, [he says dryly, the second he recovers.] Having it monthly is… way too many parties. I know you actually do work. A lot of it.

[ Conducting official business is as boring as sitting through a staff meeting and Tony’s used up his professional quota for the month. That decline gets an immediate shake of his head, as he looks over at Bruce and points a finger. ] Nope. No can do. You can’t decline the position and then try to manage the parties. You either have to take the position or you have to attend mandatory weekly parties. One or the other.

[There's a momentary pause as Bruce calculates that in his head.] So if I take it, I don't have to go? [He's skeptical. Tony seems bound and determined to get him out and socializing, and that seems like too obvious a loophole.]

If you take it, you can schedule the parties whenever you like. [ Which Tony knows means that the Stark Industries social calendar will get really empty really fast. But that’s the beauty of being the boss; he can call an emergency party whenever he feels like it. ]

Fine, [Bruce sighs, and decides that's entirely enough of that. An astute viewer might notice him rolling his eyes as he reaches out and switches off the feed.]

[Just another day in the life of Jim Kirk. He has a cup of coffee off to one side, and he's dressed in his command golds. He's not big on the network, but hey. Somebody's gotta get their hands dirty.]

Bryn Zethir is gone. She left me in charge of the Brazen Turtle, so if her employees could touch base with me so we can work out where to go from here, that'd be appreciated. Everybody else, first drink's on the house.

[A slight pause, and then he wets his lips.]

And for those of you that knew her, The Archive has returned home as well.

[That seems more like a footnote, tacked on in as casual a way as possible, but anyone who knows him knows the deflection's just an act.]

From now on I'm gonna do my best to stop myself from totally falling for a girl. Things never really play out. Either they vanish only for me to see them again as an empty shell to then show up here again just like they were before, only they don't remember me, or they just up and disappear. Both are kind of a bummer to happen.

Uh, Ororo's gone. Everything's just gone, all her stuff, her.

So, this is like the worst ever. Loads of people have been disappearing lately. Think it's got to do with Eshai?

[ As the video starts up things are pretty quiet at first. There's a clear view of Zuko's face, his one eyebrow furrowed as his eyes flick back and forth studying the console. He got the explanation of how this worked, he knows what he's supposed to be doing with it... but it doesn't make the contraption any less bizarre to him.

After a good fifteen seconds of silence before he starts speaking.
]

Hello...

[ There's just a moment of hesitation here before Zuko stands up straighter and looks directly at the screen. ]

My name is Zuko. I am the prince of the Fire Nation.

[ A frown. ]

I don't know if that means anything to most of you here, and if it doesn't then this doesn't concern you.

[ Nice, Zuko.

He's still having a little difficulty with the idea that people here won't know what the Fire Nation is. It's a pretty big part of his world... it's a pretty big part of the entire world where he's from.

He takes a deep breath, and in the gravest tone he can muster up (which is pretty damn grave) says-

[Okay, so partying didn't help the overall dreary atmosphere. He's rationalized with himself that he just needs to get used to the place, is all. Part of that was enjoying it, 'cause it could be way worse. Two of his big brothers could be here wanting to rip the other and the surrounding life apart. Could always be worse.]

[Besides, his company wasn't taken away, but simply replaced.]

[Gabriel has a floating cat next to his terminal. Like all good cats, Khoshekh is blocking Gabe's view of the screen, so the observer would see a floating, sleeping cat with an angel's eyes peaking over him.]

So, I'm the proud owner slash temporary babysitter for this kitty-kitty here. His name is Khoshekh and he loves tuna like you wouldn't believe. Can anyone think of good nicknames for Mr. Whiskers before I start calling him Kosher?

[Cause it's inevitable... Gabriel pauses a moment before continuing.]

As an aside, anyone wanna get hammered tonight or something? I'm bored.

[Looking for some more distractions is more like it, but he's good! Really!]

The transmission begins with the ID of the Alderwood Emperor, though it is not Evandau that sits at this console. Hannibal Lecter, rather, is the one ready to speak, though there is a statement from the former Commander first.]

The Foreigner investigations into the murder of the Ironwood Emperor resulted in the identification and apprehension of a suspect. He will air his conscience here before punishment is commenced.

[Then, he quiets and a hand pushes at Hannibal's shoulder. The message is clear: Get on with it.]

I suppose I’ve got to get these formalities in, although I do appreciate the opportunity for some last words. [He turns to Evandau.] I don’t suppose I get a last meal request, do I?

No. [The single word is uttered with the strictest control over his tone.]

[He chuckles. A few people knew just what he did with most of his victims, how far that’s gotten around, he has no idea.]

It was I who killed you Emperor, I who committed the string of murders a few months ago, and I who anonymously called upon Malicant. The first was because I cannot tolerate a poor host, the second because I had powers I don’t usually have and didn’t want to waste the opportunity, and the third was because it was entertaining.

[He straightens his suit, which is a little bloodied up from his capture.] Formal apologies to all of my patients as well as anyone I had agreed to meet in person. As flattering as it would be if you all had nightmares about narrowly avoiding death at my hands, I feel obligated to inform you that neither my patients nor my guests were ever in any danger. That would be bad practice, on my part. [Because despite being a serial killer he needs to take care of his image.]

And my deepest apology to Abigail Hobbs. I wish you the best of luck in this life.

Everyone else, if you’d like to air your grievances, I’d love to listen. I’ll take them all as compliments, really.

[It is at this point that Evandau intercedes.]

You have one hour. The prisoner will be executed at the end of this hour and there will be no further opportunities to converse with him.

[There is a promised finality to his tone and then the transmission ends.]

I guess I should start off saying happy New Year. Even if it feels strange saying that. [Stranger still that she's been here this long.]

I don't really do New Years resolutions myself. If people want to change, they should do it. Not because it's some sort of gimmick. Besides as strange as it sounds this is the most normal I've ever really had.

She looks thoughtful as she squints into the screen, maybe even a little disconcerted.]

I don't know what I was expecting, but this? Definitely wasn't it. [A little light on both pearly gates and fire and brimstone, honestly. She won't say that out loud, though, it sounds trite even for her.]

[Gabriel thinks that most of the population could agree with him about things being generally dreary. What with the Emperor death and all. Which really sucked, considering everything he told her about his brothers was gone now, unless she had the foresight to inform others. He had no plans of going through it all with someone else anytime soon.]

[And then Castiel was gone. Took the tension with him, really, but he would be missed. Not to mention they were one fewer again. And then Betty. Not that he knew her well, but that woman.]

So, who wants to participate in some drinking, dancing, and gift giving? Can't promise it'll be kid friendly, but that's a usual for me.

Something that people caring for one of the large eggs should be aware was brought up during the last audience with the Emperor. It may be a false alarm, or it may be an actual concern.

Apparently, there's a possibility that the eggs may be fakes, planted by the thing we're here to fight, and the telepathic links with them provided by it, as well. Such an arrangement would provide it with easier access to the minds of not a small number of the foreigners here, if it's the case.

As such a thing's neither been confirmed or denied by Asti, as of this moment, I can't either dismiss it completely or claim that's the situation. But it's probably a good thing to keep in mind and prepare for.

Unrelated. I believe Raven is gone from Keeliai, for those who know her.

There's something you should know about the snow in the open areas between the domes. Some of the snow I make has magic in it, and what it does is make people more open to loosening up and playing around in it. It has to do with my center being Fun, it was never intended to hurt anyone but... it did.

Even though this time was an accident... it was also in the big snowfall last March. If you spent a lot of time outside that weekend, you probably got at least a little dose of it. A couple people already knew about this but I'm the one who should have said something before this. Long before, I was just--

I've already tried to break as much of the effect as I can between the three main domes, it should be mostly clear now and back to regular snow.

I know we've got a lot of people here who aren't from Earth, and a lot who have traveled in space and time and with the Doctor and all.

So I was thinking. Would you lot be interested in getting together sometime? Like a club. I never got to find out as much about space as I wanted, and I'd love to hear stories and such.

So. I was here before. But...then I wasn't? I was here, but I left, and now I'm back again.

I know it's been a few days since the whole magical mix up's been sorted but...it's mega lame when you wake up and you remember that you're not as strong as you grow up to be.

Been here for over a year and...well I haven't noticed my clothes getting too small or anything. Y'know, don't see any changes. Don't feel any changes either.

[He brings his other arm up, the one not holding his head up, and flexes.]

See that? That's like half the size they were last week.

[He lets out a sigh and sits up straighter before leaning back in his chair.]

Okay, there was actually a point to making this. Not that. Anyone got a job going? I'll do anything. I'm a great people person, I'm pretty strong yadda yadda, the usual self selling spiel people do when they need a job. It's come to my attention that Pepper Potts may no longer be in residence in the city.

[ That covers that and he's not lingering on it. If he does, he'll wonder what that means, if some piece of her has gone back to the world she remembers or if she's dead and her body is being recycled or whatever it is they do with clones when they're gone. It isn't something he needs to worry about right now. Not in front of an audience. So he moves right along to business. ]

If you do, I want to know who you are and what you do for the company. If you don't, and you want to, talk to me.

And be prepared for change. It's coming.

[ What that change is, he doesn't know yet. But once he finds out what the company's been doing, he'll figure out the right path for it to take under his leadership. And this time, it's going to be a damn sight better than the last time he was at the helm. ]

Right. I'm looking for someone called the Doctor. I sort of figured that if I kept looking for weird stuff, I'd find 'im, only now I might be dead or sommat. And that means he has a lot to answer for.

Unless you're actually out there, Doctor. In which case...

No, you still have a lot to answer for, but you'd better do it in person!

Come on, Doctor. I've been looking for you long enough, and this is by far the weirdest place I've been. I mean, I'm walking. On a turtle. In a city. Built. On a turtle. You've gotta be here somewhere.

Oh. And as for the rest of you, hi. I'm Donna Noble, from Chiswick. London. England. Earth. [ This is new to her, obviously.
