Okay, the kedan are seriously getting on my nerves. [Ava's standing in front of her console just so she can keep her hands on her hips and glare unhappily down at the screen.] We didn't ask to be here!

And I really doubt we're gonna get any help we don't make people give us. So, I say we figure out who all's responsible for actual attacks on people and turn 'em over to the guards. Then they pretty much have to something, right?

And seriously, does anybody here know how to read this language yet?

I'm sure the attitude isn't limited. But the actual violence is, so far.

And the guards may not care enough to pursue it, but I'm betting if we have proof they're ignoring this they won't keep doing it for long.

... you are an optimist, are you not.

If the Emperor and the Commander are interested in changing the attitude, they will act on that in their own time. If they are not, no amount of evidence we provide will make a difference. And the Commander's hold on the law enforcement here seems rather close to absolute.

Maybe, maybe not. They still need us, or they would have thrown us all of off when the Turtle went to that city.

Besides, getting out and doing something is better than sitting here and doing nothing.

Some of the kedan possibly still think that we are needed as sacrifices. The sort that get their throats slit. The time that Evandau interfered with that - and he did, I was there - it initiated a gang war.

None of the situation is particularly clear-cut.

Staying safe and encouraging what good will is left is possibly what you can do. But you can bring what evidence you find to Evandau. Just do not expect it to lead to much good.

That is way too gross. [She actually sticks her tongue out at the thought.] I'll be fine, though. I'm pretty tough.

[Pause as he considers that.]

I suppose it is.

[Then he shrugs.]

I mean, they keep bringing more people here, and sending some back, but we haven't done anything for them and they haven't told us anything about what they want from us.

[She frowns again, hands on her hips.] I just wanna go home.

Technically, if the information about the clones facility was not misleading, you probably are home, just not aware of it.

But I do agree as to the pointlessness. Some of us will soon have been here for a year, and, other than assisting with the gang war or fighting the zombies, we have not had good cause to have been brought at all.
