[ Cobb tries to bite down a 'thanks for knocking' quip--he isn't Eames, and right now is not the best of times. Instead, he offers the other girl a tumbler, already in the kitchen part of his suite and in the process of opening up a bottle of wine.

Might as well make her comfortable since he's pretty sure she isn't going to leave easily. He says nothing. Merely hands her her glass. ]

[ there's a clear look of annoyance on her face, as she takes the tumbler from him, sighing at her thoughts. ]

When were you going to tell me about all of this?

[ about cobol, about talking with costigan as much as she have? ]

[ Cobb doesn't so much as bat an eyelash--in an odd way, it's like he's still playing. ] About which?

Cobol is a company we previously worked a job for. Saito found us through them in a roundabout way. The only thing missing when he suggested everything was an architect. You.

[ her brow furrowed in interest as she just nodded slowly at what he said. ]

So why does Eames think that they might be behind this?

There's a price on my head. Underground. [ A wry glance. ] It's possible they still want it--or they want to know what we're doing to our previous mark. It might even be just because we're working with Saito. [ Take your pick, Ari. ]

[ her brow just arches in interest at that, again, just nodding slowly in understanding. (she really isn't surprised there might be a price on his head) ]

So you think they're capable of pulling whatever this is off?

Personally? No, I don't. If they could pull this off, why not hire whoever's doing this, and not us?

[ her brow furrows in thought at that, knowing that there are possibly a few reason folks might (granted, she doesn't know or understand the mindset of criminal) but trying to figure that out wasn't exactly going to get them anywhere right now. ]

What else aren't you telling me, Cobb?

[ This earns a bit of a brow raise. ] Why are you pushing?
