[The feed turns on to show a shirtless Finnick, hair still damp from an earlier shower. He smiles brightly, leaning back in his chair. Gratuitous chest? You betcha. There's a pause as he pops something that looks like a sugar cube into his mouth.] With more people arriving, I'm sure the strain on food resources is going to become harder for some of us. But the ocean, that's still plentiful and unharmed by Tu Vishan's illness.

For you new people, or even those who have been here a while, I'm Finnick Odair. I have a small fishing business set up. [A pause as he smiles.] Basically what I'm offering here are a couple of job opportunities. I should be able to handle a few employees, if you'd like to earn a little money and food on the side. If you like fishing, or if you'd like to learn, here's your opportunity. [He winks.] Wasting it would be a shame.

If your business needs a boom, I'm game. Besides, I could use the extra juulan. [Actually she needs it pretty badly, but playing it cool because seventeen year old girls do that.] Any perks? [Her face is all about "Please say free fishies.">]

[insecrets]

Perks are, if you catch more than your quota, you get to keep it. [Aw yes. Pulling all the cute girls on this job.] I'll provide the materials you'll need.

[alphatar]

You are not going to regret this Finnick! [Employment fist pump! Yes, she did that in front of her console.] All I need is the ocean and something to put my catches in.

[Korra points at him with a look a used car salesman would die for.]

Consider yourself in the big time markets boss. You should start looking into making a branch in the Metal Sector, people there have money to burn at those sushi restaurants. [That was one of her first mistakes, going there and looking at the prices of the menu expecting reasonable prices.]

[insecrets]

[Finnick laughs at the enthusiasm, shaking his head a bit.] Then I think you'll have everything that you need to start working.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.] Good idea. I'll talk to my business partner and see what he thinks about that, but I like it.

[alphatar]

I'll start first thing tomorrow. [Except that armageddon will be happening, so no she won't.] Should I just bring my catches to you or to wherever your business is setup at?

[A very amused grin comes across her face.] Make sure you're wearing something when you do that boss, that might help your negotiations.

[insecrets]

Right now I'm operating out of my suite, so you can bring the catch to me at the end of the day. [Insert suite number here.]

[He laughs, running a hand through his hair.] I think Jack's already come to accept my need to not wear clothes every now and then, but I can take the suggestion under consideration.

[alphatar]

Your business is your business. [Both figuratively and literally.] Don't let me stop you. At all. [Cough.]

[insecrets]

[There's a pause before he smirks.] Ah, I see. You want to pretend that my wearing a shirt will be better, but you're really hoping that I won't.

[alphatar]

[Her hands come up with her palms out.] I'm just saying my new boss doesn't have to do what their employees suggest.

[Since it's too cold in the south pole to wear anything but layers of clothing, she's not about to refuse an opportunity to admire some physical form.] So do you want those fish frozen or fresh? [Subject change is a bit obvious, but it's what she's got to work with.]

[insecrets]

[Finnick chuckles, running his fingers through his damp hair.] I like to take into consideration all the input people under me have to offer.

[Ah, business. Of course.] Fresh works best, that way it can be sent to the markets. I can probably start expanding to all the sectors now.

[alphatar]

You know I never did ask, what brought you to the business? No offense, but I had some trouble seeing you as a fisherman when we first met. [The way he carried himself and seemed, at least to Korra, like he was above that.] If anything I thought you’d be the kind of guy that just inherited the family business.

[Which she now hoped wasn’t the actual case because foot-in-mouth is a terrible condition to find oneself in.]

[insecrets]

Fishing is the family business. [And it's one of the few things that actually brings him peace of mind, but that's not something he's going to just say.] Where I come from, fishing is the main export of my district. You learned to hold a fishing pole before you even learn to walk. [There's a shrug here.] Besides, I like the hard work and keeping busy.

[alphatar]

[Yeah, it was the actual case. She’ll just face palm herself now. Hard. Way to step in it Korra.]

Sounds a lot like home to me. [The thought of her dad taking her on her first fishing trip brought a big smile to her face.] Gotcha. [There was no way she was admitting that she totally had him pegged wrong now. She never would have seen him as the hard working type.]

Well thanks for the job either way! I seriously needed it.

[insecrets]

I've noticed a lot of us have similarities between where we come from. [And entirely noticeable differences, too. He's totally cool with people pegging him wrong. After all, that's how his persona with the Capitol was built up. He just finds her assumptions amusing.]
