With enemies who would probably not announce themselves first, who would see him and his brothers on the Network and then proceed to silently hunt them down one by one...

The last time the team faced Shredder, he nearly killed them all, starting with Leonardo himself; the memory of seeing the intent in Oruku's eyes while facing down his blade remained a deeply chilling moment. But now Leo's team is down by one, they're not always together and they can't just stay underground here. If Shredder found one of them out in Keeliai, alone, with no way to contact the others for help...]

If this survey turns up zilch? Leo will have to concede the point completely. But he doesn't really suppose that'll be the case. Let's find out.]

Dude, you don't know anything about the kind of guys I've had to deal with back home of the number of friends I've lost because of them. My enemies would eat your enemies for breakfast.

Any bad guy that shows up here in screwed, though. Just about every other person here has powers.

[But it sure is what he said, isn't it. Leo tops up the bitten-off defense with a sigh of frustration.]

Look. It's not about who's more powerful. The ones who will give foreigners with powers a chance to beat them in open combat aren't the issue. [Leo wouldn't turn to anyone else for protection, either. This is a turtle problem and Leo intends on keeping it that way.] It's the ones who fight smart that we need to be prepared for.

And... I'm - sorry. About your friends. [Leo hasn't lost anyone, thank goodness. And he plans on keeping it that way. Hence the current fuss.]

Oh, so now you're calling all of my enemies dumb, is that it?

[Oh are you kidding him? Leo will only backpedal so far, and here's where he digs in his heels. Or rather, he parries.]

[And Santo is just breaking into a grin now.] Dude, I'm just messing with you. None of that stuff actually happened. [You know, except for all the dead friends and stuff that actually did.] You need to relax a little.

And yeah, Raph's a pretty awesome guy like me.

[Leo snorts. He'll take the ribbing in stride, but it makes him REALLY grumpy to have his chain yanked. And is this guy telling him to relax? Now Leo refuses to relax on principle, even if he would have done so in the first place.]

Well I'm sure you'll be very happy together.

[SNARK]

[It's Leo's fault for feeling sympathy for Santo and the friend's he's lost. He doesn't want that, and talking too much about it makes him go to deep places that he's not comfortable with.]

Oh, we totally are! [That went completely over his head.] He's like the most badass ninja I know.

[That's cool, 'cause it'll only happen once. Leo learns from his mistakes.

Now, granted? Raph is pretty badass. Raph is so badass, he can beat Leo in the greater percentage of their spars. But Leo isn't sure this praise is based in such observation.]

Mm-hmm. And is he the only ninja you know?

[Raph is pretty badass, but it's probably mostly because he reminds Santo of himself.]

Hey, I know you, Donatello, and Mikey. [Just making it clear that Santo doesn't know that you're that awesome. No offense.]
