[The feed clicks on to reveal a red-headed teen with yellow eyes, who's currently peering at the device like it's going to explode.]

Okay, power button. Check. I thought this could be like that episode of The Twilight Zone where they execute people by blowing up in their rooms and that maybe someone was clever for a change and made the self-destruct button look like the on/off. But! Obviously not, because I'm still here.

I think I'm getting paranoid. It's like there's this voice in my head going -

[Bart holds two fingers up to either side of his head, so they stick up through his hair like ears.]

"Trust nothing."

[He puts his arms down, and he really drops them. They're just suddenly gone, and the camera picks up maybe two frames of the action, but even that's a little lost in a yellow flash. Bart only laughs with relief.]

Hey! Look at that, they weren't lying about that either. Now, if it would just hurry up and work all the time.

So, uh. Hi. Bart Allen. Anyone know where to find the games on this thing? I gotta pass the time until the rest of you slow down.

Traci. [Well, that's understandable, and she doesn't push for it since she's not exactly that curious. She's figuring Kid Flash, but he seems new to this place, not likely the one mentioned to her before. Is he even a speedster or from her place? There were other worlds, and he could just be blurry for the sake of bad connection, if that's even the case.]

Also whoa, voice in the head? That's never a good thing unless you actually know whose voice that is.

[Bart just slaps his palm against his forehead.]

Seriously - is everyone going to jump on that? I'm not hearing voices. I'm using metaphor.

That would be me teasing, but I guess that didn't come across well. Maybe I should practice that too.

Not a lot. I know of the Flash, and I heard Kid Flash is here. My neighbor counts too, except he's not from my world.

Oh, I'm not degrading myself. I'm very confident in my own abilities, but you'd recognize her in an instant with the giant S on the shirt. Me? Not so much into the symbols.

I think the symbols are cool, but that's just me. I like the tradition of it. Tells you in one glance what you're working with.

You said you're really confident in your own abilities. Sometimes, I think people just say things to me because they think I'm not paying attention. You also wondered if your reputation preceded you, which means you've got a reputation.

If it makes you feel better, between my name and moving too fast on vid, I screwed up the whole secret thing here already.

Fallacy. You could be a class clown or the head cheerleader or just that guy in a corner, and you might think 'Oh, I'm remembered as so and so', but that doesn't necessarily mean people actually think that. Not much of a reputation there, just ego. As for abilities--- well, I can juggle, and I am proud of doing it with three balls. Does that count?

Kinda figured, but I'd like to wait until you actually let me know the whole 'secret' anyway.

Juggling's a neat trick. I still don't know if I buy you as the head cheerleader.

Well then-- You seem too young to be the Flash, and the only other well-known speedster of the good side that I know is Kid Flash. [Who is um-- right. Not saying these things.]

Fair enough. Supes still has a lot of red. The cape's iconic.

You know what's weird? 40% of people pick blue as their favorite color. It beats the next one by 26%. But the color red attracts the human eye more than anything else.
