[Once again, an Amaterasu post begins with a round of barking. But this time she stops after seven seconds and moves to the side to let the camera pick up what's right behind her-- a painting on the wall. The colors are vivid and a little sparkly if you look at it at the right angle.

And then she speaks.]

You want a painting too? [Short and simple. This is her way of trying to cheer everyone up-- by painting for them.]

[His ruff initially flattens at the sound of barking, but memory soon supersedes his instinctive dislike of dogs. This one is different; she is the one who runs the lovely vegetable garden, and she has been nothing but reasonable, all things considered.

[It's difficult to tell through the video function of these damn things, but Cas is pretty sure he's looking at a god here. He's not sure which one; this isn't the chosen vessel of any of the gods of his universe, but she still looks very powerful.]

I would like one, yes. ...if you're willing. [Pagan gods don't exactly like angels, where he's from.]

What is that? He doesn't look like a Celestial, and she's pretty sure they're all dead so what?

So it's generosity along with a hint of curiosity that makes her nod.] Where?

[Cue confused noise. So uh... what do you want? Is this a request or a general 'what are you' thing?]

[A talking white wolf? Is this like... Well, Raimei can't be sure, but it's probably not like Kouichi and Shijima. It's close enough, though, that she's intensely curious, and here she has a great pretext to be curious in.]

I'd love a painting! [Raimei's so enthusiastic she doesn't seem to need cheering up, but really, she does.] And could I ask you a question, maybe? You remind me of someone I know...

[Okay, Amaterasu’s adorableness just increased and that was already impossible according to Korra.] I would love to get one! That looks like it’s almost alive... [And reminded of home a little.]

I’m Korra by the way, I didn’t tell you before because-well, yeah…

[Why can’t she pet her over the network? Maybe Stark Industries should make that one of their projects.] Actually all the four walls on the second floor. I had no idea you could paint too! [Seriously, this wolf is all the awesome to Korra right now.]

How much do you charge? [Does a wolf even need money??] I can pay in food too if you want.

Amaterasu shakes her mane and opens her mouth before the kid can give her another barrage of questions:] I ask for no payment.

[ this is how far you've fallen, Grantaire. You're bored and sober enough to be talking to a dog without an ounce of irony. Christ. ]

[Far be it from Bruce Wayne to shirk a trend, tyvm. He has a reputation to maintain. So here he is, studying that quite intently.]

You know, where I'm from, we've trained elephants to paint, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a dog do it. This is quite remarkable. You could sell them for fifty or sixty thousand dollars a piece back home.

[He's totally talking obliviously, as if Amaterasu hadn't spoken at all and the words are instead attributed to some offscreen trainer. On the whole, though, talking dogs are actually one of the least strange things Bruce has seen in the duration of his life.]

[Painting is one of Tazendra's hobbies, which she learned from a well-known artist in the Empire after an incident where they were in prison together and bored. SO she knows something of the craft]
