[There’s a beautiful, dark skinned girl with choppy hair looking at ease with the console as she turns the video feed on. She actually looks pretty calm, other than the nervous movement of her hands, as if she doesn’t know what to do with them, and the way she keeps looking around her, as if she can’t believe where she is. After a second, she gives a hesitant smile.] It’s kind of nice to use one of these and not worry about any of the problems that come with it. [Problems being that technology and demigods don’t exactly mix, you know.]

I was wondering if anyone could fill me on the situation? I couldn’t get any answers from the guys who brought me to this suite, which is really nice, by the way. [She sounds a little put out by that, the fact that she couldn’t get answers.] My name is Piper. [No last name, in case people here know her dad, and then she has to go through that awkward explanation phase that, yes, her dad was that hot guy in those movies.]

I’m also looking for my friends. Particularly a guy named Jason. Blond, really good looking, he likes to follow rules. [A grin now.] Although, I guess if any of them are here, they’ll find me this way.

Very funny, Percy. [In three... two... one. Her eyes widen slightly, and Piper snaps to attention, a look of both surprise and just extreme happiness taking over her face. Because dude] Percy!

[Waving a hand and giving an awkward sort of wave] I'm gonna guess the last time you saw me involved a lot of really unfortunate Ferraris. [Because that's easier to say than Tartarus]

[Waving back. Because why not. There's a pause before she says anything, because what is she supposed to say?

Sorry I wasn't useful enough that I couldn't help you and Annabeth? Sorry that Jason took me first?] I definitely remember a lot of something, but I think my days of expensive cars are over.

[He tries to hide a wince at that pause, ducking his head a little] Right. Uh, most of use are from that point, except for Hazel, Rachel, and...Luke Castellan. [A beat] You know about him, right? [What else what else] The rest of the seven are here, too, as well as Nico. I think that's everyone.

Luke as in... The guy at camp nobody will talk about? [Can she say that she is the least surprising they're all here? Because, it's bad enough trying to go around and save the world from Earth itself, but now they're in some weird pseudo afterlife.] Hey, is the whole what we are not a secret around here?

[He rubs the back of his neck] Yeah, I guess that's the one. He's - things are different now. You don't need to worry about him. [Percy hopes.

There's a beat, and then a sheepish grin] Not really. And when I say not really, I mean...pretty much everyone knows. [Shrugging] It's nice. Not having to keep it a secret. There's a guy made out of rocks walking around here, no one really looks twice at someone saying they're the son of Poseidon or anything.

I'm not worried. I don't think so. I don't even know what I am right now. [She rubs a hand over her face. Her ability isn't working, she's in some strange dimension, Percy and Annabeth are okay. There's an Egyptian magician here. She just needs to think.]

Wait, what? A guy made out of rocks? And he's not like... [A monster or anything? But then it sinks in that they don't have to hide who they are because nobody cares. She's remembering her dad, though, and how close she came to losing him because he knew what she was. It's unfair.] That's good, at least. It'll make things easier.

[That sheepish grin widens a little] Well, you're a demigod, if that helps to start you off. [Hurr he's so funny]

Nope, not a monster or anything. They call themselves mutants, I guess. His name's Santo. And yeah, it does make it easier. It's nice, you know? Not having to worry about that stuff. [A sigh] Not that it really applies now. I bet Annabeth's filled you in about the power problem we're having, right?

[One of his hands absently opens and closes when he says her name]

Mutants. [That seems like a harsh thing to call yourself, but if that's what they want, she supposes.] Just because we don't have to hide what we are doesn't make it any less worrisome. [Regardless of where they are or who they're with, being a demigod is still going to attract trouble.] Yeah, but I kind of got the idea when I couldn't do anything.

[Totally catching that.] You okay?

[Eheheh.]

Yeah, I didn't get it either, but they seem cool with being called that. [He shrugs a little] Honestly? Pretty much everyone here attracts trouble in some way, powers or not.

[He blinks] What? No, I'm fine.

I guess if that's their preferred term. [But really. Made of rocks...] So we all have something in common. That's great. [No it's not.]

Does your hand hurt?

Hey, it could be worse. At least we're all pretty much on the same level, you know? Most people here try to help each other out.

[He opens his mouth and then shuts it again. It's clear from his expression that he hadn't even been aware of doing anything until she pointed it out.] Um. Yeah, no, it's fine! Just a reflex. [He rubs the back of his neck a little awkwardly] Anyway, it's really good to see you, Piper. This isn't the best situation, but I'm still glad we're together. [Percygrin!]

Considering how much opposition and trouble we run into when trying to find someone to help us out, I'll definitely take that as a positive.

[She squints, but doesn't really pursue the matter at the moment. Something's fishy here, Percy.] It's... really good to see you, too, Percy. And I'm glad the seven of us are all here.

Dude, this is probably the universe's idea of giving us a break.

[His relief is obvious, because he relaxes, looking comfortable again] Right! Between us, I'm pretty sure we can have Asti doing better in no time.

This isn't really any better compensation. Well, okay, maybe a little bit, but not a lot.

[She gives him a smile.] I don't know what I could really do, but I'll help.
