[charmspeaks]

[There’s a beautiful, dark skinned girl with choppy hair looking at ease with the console as she turns the video feed on. She actually looks pretty calm, other than the nervous movement of her hands, as if she doesn’t know what to do with them, and the way she keeps looking around her, as if she can’t believe where she is. After a second, she gives a hesitant smile.] It’s kind of nice to use one of these and not worry about any of the problems that come with it. [Problems being that technology and demigods don’t exactly mix, you know.]

I was wondering if anyone could fill me on the situation? I couldn’t get any answers from the guys who brought me to this suite, which is really nice, by the way. [She sounds a little put out by that, the fact that she couldn’t get answers.] My name is Piper. [No last name, in case people here know her dad, and then she has to go through that awkward explanation phase that, yes, her dad was that hot guy in those movies.]

I’m also looking for my friends. Particularly a guy named Jason. Blond, really good looking, he likes to follow rules. [A grin now.] Although, I guess if any of them are here, they’ll find me this way.

[charmspeaks]

[A snort before she rolls her eyes.] I didn't even see the Emperor. Besides, no charmspeak at the moment. [Oh, right, powers. She looks Jason over.] Are you okay, with all of that?

[ozones]

Yeah. I'm fine.

_{( Which comes a bit too immediately and Jason, realizing that, rubs a hand over the back of his neck and sighs. )}

It's... well. You know how people get airsick? I think I've got the opposite.

[charmspeaks]

[Piper pauses for a second before grinning. And then she tries to hide the fact that she's grinning. It's not really effective.]

So you're groundsick?

[ozones]

_{( Purses his lips. This so isn't funny! )}

Well, when you say it like that it sounds dumb.

[charmspeaks]

[The situation isn't, but what he's just said kind of is.]

It's not dumb. I think it makes perfect sense. [She shrugs.] Besides, what's so great about the ground?

[ozones]

Not at a lot, that I can think of.

_{( Also Gaea. She kind of ruins it for everyone. )}

[charmspeaks]

[Yeah, thanks for that, Gaea.]

Do you think this will be permanent, Jason?

[ozones]

_{( He pauses, for a moment. )}

Which part? The powers, or being here?

Because, if we can help it, none of this will be. It can't be.

[charmspeaks]

Both. [The powers, maybe she could get used to that. But being stuck here, when their home is in danger? Not cool.] Yeah, you're right.

[She squeezes his hand.] If we can defeat giants, we can do anything.

[ozones]

_{( He tightens his own grip on her hand, then nods. )}

We can.

But there's also--well. Annabeth and Percy are here. Not in Tartarus.

[charmspeaks]

[Piper's quiet for a moment. Now that she isn't looking at either Annabeth or Percy, an upset look creeps over her face.] Do they... Do they remember anything about it at all?

[ozones]

Annabeth is from before, but she knows about as much as we do, now. Percy remembers.

_{( He swallows. )}

Whatever happens, when we leave here, we've got to make sure they're with us.

[charmspeaks]

Just the fall or the whole thing? [She gets the feeling that asking them that would probably not yield great results.]

There's no way we would leave them behind, Jason. However we do it, they're not going back there.

[ozones]

Just the fall. At least I think so. It's not like we sit and talk about it.

<sub>( Or anything. Despite being able to discuss certain things with him, Jason still doesn't get Percy a lot of the time.

Jason releases a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding and smiles at Piper. )</sub>

Of course.

[charmspeaks]

Yeah, they... [Don't really seem able to say the word. Not that she blames them at all.] It must be hard to think about, for them.

[Tugging on his hand, Piper pulls him closer. She wraps her arms around his waist, resting her cheek on his shoulder.]

[ozones]

_{( He puts his arms around her, too, holding on tight. He's silent for a moment, like he's listening for her heartbeat. )}

Did I mention I'm glad you're here, yet?

[charmspeaks]

[A smile tugs at her lips, and she shifts her head so that she's looking up at him instead.]

It wouldn't hurt to hear it again.

[ozones]

_{( He leans in, kisses her again because he's making up for lost time. )}

You know, it was the first time we've been apart since I met you. It was weird.

[charmspeaks]

[Yes, good. She likes kisses, and she definitely doesn't hesitate to kiss him back.]

If I had known you'd miss me so much, I would have hurried up on this whole interdimensional travel thing. [No, but seriously, it's really cute. And it makes her feel warm, happy. Which is why he's getting another kiss, slower this time, longer.]

[ozones]

_{( His hands settle around her waist as he leans in. )}

Well. Now you know.

[charmspeaks]

I do. We'll have to make sure to not get separated again.

[ozones]

I think we can manage that.

[charmspeaks]
