[Hello residents of turtleland, have one (1) Rory Willams looking at you through these console things. He's looking decisively uncertain about this, possibly wondering if making this post is even a good idea in the first place, considering one name he saw on the list...

But well, he's already started the recording, so stopping it now is kind of redundant. Rory gives another unsure look through the screen for a moment more before he pointedly clears his throat and starts to speak.]

Uh... hello, I guess. My name's Rory, I used to be a nurse from Leadworth, and I'm... married.

[Yeah, good job there Rory. Real smooth. Can you see how out of his depth he feels right now?]

So, um. From what I understand, we're not-dead... and on a giant turtle. [Quiet mutter at this point.] Why a giant turtle? Space whales are one thing, but... [Trailing off here for a moment now, as if lost in some other thought entirely, but Rory quickly shakes himself off it and focuses back on the video again.] I guess not being dead is good. I mean, it's not fun being dead. I don't like being dead.

[Rory, you're not making things better for yourself.]

Anyway--hello, I guess? Looks like I'm going to be stuck here no matter what, so I suppose its nice to meet the rest of you who are stuck here too. [Beat.] Here's to being stuck together? Or something like that.

I don't know, what's the normal standard for intros here? 'Hi, we're all stuck on a giant turtle so let's be friends'?

Can't say. Standards I've seen so far includes denying the supernatural and this being a limbo, or the complete opposite of it so I suppose yours is actually fairly normal.

If it helps, the turtle still boggles me. He's a nice guy though.

No clue, but other people like him. He gives you the whole peace and serenity package when you visit the top of his head though.

Is that actually safe? I mean, if we are on a giant turtle wouldn't being on its head be actually kind of dangerous...

Safe as safe could be. It's a big head, and a lot of space. I think we're probably ants in size compared to him.

[Oh. Okay, that's... good. That's good. Right?

God what happens if the turtle ever decided to flip itself around--]

The turtle hasn't... done anything drastic while people are on it, has it?

Uh... well, I heard he went underwater once. Does that count? [Given no one has drowned, that totally means it's safe.]

[YES IT DOES. Rory now does not feel safe.]

A few months back, before I got here. As far as I know the barrier kept everyone dry, so don't be too scared. [She can taste fear, Rory. :|d]

[He's not scared!! Just... extremely worried for the other people here.]

A barrier? I thought... [This city was just open air, or something. Apparently he was wrong.]

That the city was open air? [Oh look, she's reading your mind. Okay, not really, she asked herself the same thing before.] Looks and seems like it. There's an actual barrier protecting us from the outside world though, so I've been told.

How does it work? I mean, if the barrier is solid, then there's no way air can get in or out...

[What? It happens all the time for him.]

Easiest explanation: Magic. Longer explanation is probably the same way shifting works for some martians, or maybe it has some sort of really small airholes that keep it from collapsing but at the same time gives us enough oxygen to survive. There's also the possibility that our dear host is providing the oxygen itself, there are enough trees for it.

Basically, you can ask anyone, and I'm sure you'll get quite a variety of answers unless you ask the source himself.

[Okay Rory got some of that. After all, when you've travelled with the Doctor long enough you just tend to pick up some things even though they won't really apply to any usual situations.

Then again, nothing about this is that all 'usual'.]

If you ever do, can you ask him what kind of diet he has? I mean, with a turtle this big, you'd imagine he'd be eating some really large strawberry or something.
