[Hello residents of turtleland, have one (1) Rory Willams looking at you through these console things. He's looking decisively uncertain about this, possibly wondering if making this post is even a good idea in the first place, considering one name he saw on the list...

But well, he's already started the recording, so stopping it now is kind of redundant. Rory gives another unsure look through the screen for a moment more before he pointedly clears his throat and starts to speak.]

Uh... hello, I guess. My name's Rory, I used to be a nurse from Leadworth, and I'm... married.

[Yeah, good job there Rory. Real smooth. Can you see how out of his depth he feels right now?]

So, um. From what I understand, we're not-dead... and on a giant turtle. [Quiet mutter at this point.] Why a giant turtle? Space whales are one thing, but... [Trailing off here for a moment now, as if lost in some other thought entirely, but Rory quickly shakes himself off it and focuses back on the video again.] I guess not being dead is good. I mean, it's not fun being dead. I don't like being dead.

[Rory, you're not making things better for yourself.]

Anyway--hello, I guess? Looks like I'm going to be stuck here no matter what, so I suppose its nice to meet the rest of you who are stuck here too. [Beat.] Here's to being stuck together? Or something like that.

Has anyone explained anything to you about this place?

[The topic change is much appreciated, yes.]

Not... really. [A pause.] I mean, those, uh, people? They gave me an explanation, but I don't really understand it still.

It's not the best of explanations, but at least they try.

[She really does mean that. Even with all the 'trouble' she's had with the locals she still tries to remember that not everyone is like that.]

I'm sending you a map of the turtle. The areas marked in red are places you should avoid. [In other words they're not foreigner friendly.]

What they told you is true, as far as we can tell. So far we haven't been able to find any means of returning to our worlds, but we're still looking.

[Well trying is better than nothing at all, and Rory can appreciate that. At the very least, it's something to start with.

He blinks at the map when it appears, saving it instantly. Hopefully he can try and print it later... Or failing that, recreate it physically. Maps are always useful and having one is a good thing.]

Thanks for the map. And--you mean nobody has managed to leave? [Even with the Doctor around--?]

[Good job Rory. Why don't you give her a paper cut and pour some lemon juice on it. Pepper is quiet for a few moments. With what just happened, with Tony leaving ... it's difficult for her to talk about this.]

Sometimes, yes. It's random ... and never by choice.

[Oh. Um.

Yeah, Rory know he's accidentally hit a spot there.]

Um--sorry. I didn't... [Awkwardly trails off. He can relate to the feeling, really.] I didn't mean to be rude.

[She can't help frowning. She hadn't meant to let her emotions show through her voice, but it was hard with how close it was to Tony's leaving.]

No, you weren't. It just isn't the best of topics at the moment.

[Rory is just more sensitive about this than most people, since he's a Nice Guy and worries about others a lot.]

[He can't see her, but she's smiling sadly.]

[And it's about time for a subject change.]

How long have you been a nurse for?

[This is a pause as Rory attempts to calculate the exact number of years, time travelling and alternate realties aside.]

Somewhere over ten? [Pause.] I think so, anyway. I lost track.

That'll be useful around here. Would you like a list of medical facilities?

[After all, that would make things a lot easier for him when looking for employment.]

That would be useful, thanks.

[Bean already pointed him to one... but more options can never hurt.]

[Pepper will send that along as well.]

Although Jack might be better equipped to tell you where they need the most help. He works as a delivery service when he can. Just ask for Jack Frost over the network.

[For a moment Rory is blinking, since he's just met a Jack Harkness and he thought that she meant him.

But Jack is a pretty common name. He shouldn't be that surprised. Rory takes another moment to nod, even if Pepper can't see all of that.]
