001 ✥ VIDEO
[Hello residents of turtleland, have one (1) Rory Willams looking at you through these console things. He's looking decisively uncertain about this, possibly wondering if making this post is even a good idea in the first place, considering one name he saw on the list...
But well, he's already started the recording, so stopping it now is kind of redundant. Rory gives another unsure look through the screen for a moment more before he pointedly clears his throat and starts to speak.]
Uh... hello, I guess. My name's Rory, I used to be a nurse from Leadworth, and I'm... married.
[Yeah, good job there Rory. Real smooth. Can you see how out of his depth he feels right now?]
So, um. From what I understand, we're not-dead... and on a giant turtle. [Quiet mutter at this point.] Why a giant turtle? Space whales are one thing, but... [Trailing off here for a moment now, as if lost in some other thought entirely, but Rory quickly shakes himself off it and focuses back on the video again.] I guess not being dead is good. I mean, it's not fun being dead. I don't like being dead.
[Rory, you're not making things better for yourself.]
Anyway--hello, I guess? Looks like I'm going to be stuck here no matter what, so I suppose its nice to meet the rest of you who are stuck here too. [Beat.] Here's to being stuck together? Or something like that.

[It does kind of raise a few alarms on the fact that his name is possibly known. After all, it's not like he's famous, or anything. He's just Amy's husband, that's all.
He tries not to show his worry but it appears on his face quite a bit, and Rory purses his lips for a moment before speaking again.] ...I don't know any reason how that could happen. [A beat.] And I don't think I've ever met you before either, if that helps.

RORY IS UNSURE ON HOW TO REACT TO THAT.]
Er. [Pause.] Okay.
[Another pause.]
I'm married.
[Just so we're clear.]
no subject
So you said. Let me guess- handsome guy like you, I'll bet your wife is the most beautiful woman you've ever met.
no subject
She is - and if you ever try anything on her you'll be sorry, too.
[--but when it comes to Amy there will be no holding back. Amy is his wife and he will protect her from strange flirtratous men. X(]

Duly noted. [As is the fact that Rory seems much more in his element now than he was mere minutes ago. Jack understands being protective of someone you care for.]
no subject
[Easing a little, now that Jack has gotten the message. He's okay for going through the uncomfortable, terrible parts, but with Amy - he'll protect her from anything no matter what.]
So, er. I heard from Clara - you used to travel with the Doctor?
no subject
I did, a long time ago. [His voice is warm, fond.] Have you as well?
no subject
Yeah, me and my wife. [Quiet, but its fond as well, and just as warm.
Although it dips a little at the end, because now Rory knows they can never really be with the Doctor again. Not after Manhattan.]
no subject
Good times, I take it. [His smile widens, and he focuses on the good bits.] Wild adventures? Impossible situations?
no subject
Loads of that, yeah. [Smiling again, because - focusing on the good things was nice.] Had to go through two alternate realties as well, but I guess that's par of the course.

Usual, huh? [At least he doesn't seem like he took your wife, Jack...] Seems like he does that to everybody.
[Its a bit surreal, thinking about it. Because it had always been just Amy and Rory, the Doctor and Ponds. That is up until Manhattan.]
no subject
[He has another thought, then, because the issue of the Atraxi is still in the back of his mind.] The aliens you mentioned earlier, the big eyeball ships... did the Doctor have anything to do with that?
no subject
[How wrong was he proven...]

[Rory, the eternal henpecked husband.]
