[Nita is looking perkier than she has since the Malicant mess started. She's also looking moist, since, with the return of her gills, she's been spending most of her time underwater, and only came up now to make a network post. And, last of all, she's looking concerned, because there's something that's been bothering her, and she just can't figure it out.]
I'm not even close to a magical theorist or anything, and there's gotta be someone who knows more about this stuff than I do... I have a question.
How did some of us lose things we always had? Like, I understand, sort of, how Captain America--sorry, Cap, I'm gonna use you as an example--could lose his powers, 'cause he got them from an experiment. I even kind of get how mutant powers like my ankle wings could go away, because they're genetic but they're not really normal. But my gills--and the other Atlanteans' gills--closed up! That's not special! Every member of our species has those!
What's going on with this place that it can take away ordinary things?

I guess no one told you about the cloning facility?
[What's subtlety?]
video;
I don't suppose you've gotten a look inside?
[This turned out to be a lot easier than he was expecting. That's good. At least he's not asking Namor for information.]
video;
Unless they rebuilt it, it's not there anymore. Self-destruct. We were only there for a few minutes before the countdown started. None of us got much out of it--honestly, I'd tell you to ask Noh-Varr what he noticed, but he's gone.
[Kara has the advanced science training, but she was way too shell-shocked about clones to have retained much useful information, and Nita doesn't want to risk setting her off again by sending Tony to her.]
video;
Thanks anyway. I would have liked to see it myself. Honestly, that might explain what happened with everyone's powers. Including the changes that you went through.
[And there's less humor this time. He's still trying for pleasant though. At the very least he can aim for that.]
And I am sorry about what happened. That part wasn't a joke.
video;
Just sayin'.]
Uh. If you think it'd help, we could ask Professor Xavier to let you look at my memories?
[She cares about getting off this stupid turtle more than she cares about her mental privacy, and this is Tony freakin' Stark, engineering supergenius.]
Though I guess we should invite Dr. Banner along for the ride if we're gonna do that.
[Nita sighs, then remembers that she's contorted into a weird position and drops her foot back to the floor.
...And she can't tell if he's talking about Stamford or not.]
...Thanks.

I think there's a chance. Whatever you saw down there was a key to how they managed to get us here. And how they'll keep bringing people here one way or another. It's worth looking into at least. You can talk to Banner first if you want to and see what he says.
[He stops short there, caught before he says more. He starts to, but then changes his mind. That particular subject isn't something he wants to address directly over the network. He just smiles a little, letting that part stand on its own.]

It's--
...I mean, you know it's really likely we're all clones, right?
[She was a clone to begin with, but she can see how other people might handle the revelation badly.]

That's what I've heard. But we won't be able to find out how they are doing it unless we know how the technology works.
[He's taking it as well as he takes everything. He's shoving it to the back until he knows how to deal with it.]

If they were doing it underwater, it's probably got similarities to Atlantean cloning tech.
[Not that she knows anything practical about Atlantean cloning.]
video; 75% encryption
Maybe. We don't know what kind of energy they're using. Saying everything runs on turtle power isn't all that specific, and the kedan don't really seem like the engineering type.
Unless you recognized something.

[There's a spark of engineering talent that runs in the family, but Nita has no training, especially given that cloning is banned in Atlantis.]

[He's going with the practical answer there. Not the most considerate, but this is Tony.]
