Who must I talk to in order to place a complaint about these devices? ( a tap of a finger against the screen for extra emphasis. ) Not only are they extremely unintuitive, they're also impossible to modify. I could make so many improvements if they would stop melting every time I opened them up.

My name is Shockwave, and I have a request for those of you with a talent for technology. Included is an attachment with different levels of encryptions that I've coded myself. I would appreciate it if you indulged my curiosity and attempted to break all of them, although you're certainly not obligated to try. Let me know how far you get!

You would be surprised. All life here comes from the turtle and is inescapably bound to him - that is not a situation found on many universes, is it?

Not many, but it just makes it that much more interesting. You would think that the turtle itself would adapt and change to our needs as we arrived and yet it still doesn't translate text! I understand its health took a recent downturn, but with as long as people have said they've been here there was plenty of time to adapt before.

Perhaps he does not translate text on purpose. There might be a lesson to learn, from that.

I can hardly see why. Why put up a barrier to communication when we all require the aid of each other and him?

Overcoming barriers is a useful tool for getting people to work together towards a common goal.

Another problem I hope to eventually address - everyone should have the right to privacy. Those who have no knowledge of codes or encryption are at a clear disadvantage and shouldn't have to risk having their secrets exposed because of it.

That depends on the solution aimed at, of course, does it not? Your solution may not be mine. In fact, I rather doubt that it is.

Not if it's programmed to evolve beyond its original coding to become something better. I hardly have the technology here to do something of the sort currently, but it's not impossible.
