( A sleepy Steph starts up the video, yawning a little before she takes her thumb off the camera to reveal herself. She's not messy or sloppy or anything like that, just yawning. Her voice is very matter-of-fact and she nods occasionally as she speaks to confirm how right her point is. )

Y'know I think this place needs to give newbies a warmer welcome. Hotels give you like coffee and maybe a fruit basket? We need that, waiting in our suite for us. Maybe with a cute message card saying something like, "Welcome to our city, and oh, remember you're stuck here! Have a mocha on us!" It's common courtesy to give folks some kind of compensation.

( She pauses. She's forgetting something, isn't she... Oh, right! )

Oh yeah, I'm Stephanie. Or Steph. Probably not Stephie. ( Bad memories associated with that one. ) Aaaand I really want a mocha. That actually sounds really good right now. Nice to meet you and especially nice to meet you if you know about a Turtlebucks close to the Wood Sector.

( Confirm her secret identity in this place as an ordinary and hilarious college student? Check. She honestly is seriously thinking about her situation, but for now she doesn't want that to show through as Stephanie Brown. Gotta be safe and all. )

( At the princess' approval, Stephanie lights up, grinning ear to ear. She pumps her fist in a not so proper way. )

By the way, Princess Luna, again I don't mean to be rude, but you do kinda look different from how I imagined a princess would look. ( Wait for it, okay, she is making a joke, which is hopefully evident in her still present smile. ) Don't they usually wear those big poofy dresses?

...only at coronations. Apparently. [What no she isn't bitter about that horrid monstrosity of a dress at all.]

Guess it'd be a bit of a drag to wear something like that all the time, huh? I can't even imagine having to walk or do stuff in a princess dress!

Yeesh, that's plain silly. If they're going to make you wear that kind of thing, they should make it so it's comfortable and easy to move around in. ( Steph obviously knows tons about the fashion scene of Equestria. ) You should really talk to your tailor about that.

'Twas my sister's tailor...I do not wear them enough to keep one of my own. For perfectly good reason, clearly.

[Headtilt, as she comes to a realization.] You humans must be quite formal, to wear clothing so often.

( How... do you answer that. Steph pauses, her expression trying to sort itself out just like her thoughts. ) Well... actually...

( She lights up, continuing on better than before. )

It's cause we don't have coats like you, I think. Our bodies can't take temperatures as well so clothes are to make up for that.

I see. Yes, that seems sensible. Ponies use them for warmth on occasion, but they are mostly instruments of fashion, often donned by the upper classes. [She sounds a little disdainful - silly nobleponies prancing about making shows of themselves. At least she didn't much notice the awkward response to her question.]

( A nod. ) Yeah, people do that too. And often the upper crust too.
( Steph gives Luna a warm smile. )

I guess people and ponies aren't really all that different, huh? ( Other than the obvious differences at least. She never imagined talking ponies existed, but at this point she's not surprised and the little girl in her is pretty darn thrilled. )

Neigh, I suppose they are not. 'Tis an encouraging thought. [Though she certainly doesn't want any of her people trapped here as well, it's still a bit off-putting to be the only pony in a sea of aliens and...well, other aliens.]

One day when we're off this place, I'll take you to Gotham - that's where I'm from - and you can show me where you're from too and we can laugh at the silly people and ponies in their stuffy outfits. Aaand I can show you what I meant by Turtlebucks.

( She's still unsure if they'll get off the turtle, but it doesn't hurt to have hope. )

I would like that very much indeed. You could tour the castle, and perhaps Cloudsdale Stadium. 'Tis where the best aerial competitions in the country take place! Besides, everyone should walk on clouds once.

( Her eyes light up at that. )

Walk on clouds? Oh my gosh, I didn't even know that was possible! I definitely wanna vacation in your world, Princess.

'Tis a natural ability of pegasi, but there is a spell that imitates the effect for other species.

So is magic real in your world then? That is so cool. ( Okay, it's real in her world too, but knowing about real magic isn't really all that normal and she can just imagine Klarion getting pissed at her asking this. )

Kinda... kinda not? Like it's in storybooks and junk, but... Well, I mean there are magicians, but I'm pretty sure that's more about illusions than actual magic.
