[Julie took the time to shower and get cleaned up before getting on the network. She was previously covered in days worth of dirt and sweat and blood, some of it her friends and some of it belonging to a peculiar zombie, but more on that later. For now, Julie has a pressing question that may possibly seem rude in some circles.]

So, introductions go first, right? Hi. I'm Julie. I'm from what's supposed to be Seattle, Washington but is now just thousands of people living in a fortified sports stadium.

[As shitty as that probably sounds, she's still smiling about it. There are some good parts about Citi Stadium, but thank God for kidnappings that turn into vacations, even if this is her second one in just a few days.]

This place is between life, death and dreaming, right? I'm not sure how that's possible, but that's fine for now. That's not what I'm wondering.

[She runs her fingers through her hair, chewing her lower lip for a moment before letting her hand settle in her lap again.]

What I'm wondering is possibly considered rude. I don't know. It's been a very weird past few days for me back home that's changed my way of thinking a little bit so now I just want to know how many of you....are dead where you're from?

Where I'm from, dead seems to have a couple different meanings. It could either mean dead and that's it, you're gone for good. Or Undead as in a mobile corpse. A zombie.

[This sure as shit feels a bit awkward, but she's going to just press on. She started it, she'll finish it. That's cool with her.]

I just want to know what dead means here, since I haven't seen any[thing]one that fits what I know from home.

Hardly rude I should not think, mademoiselle. One thing that I have noticed here is that even the certainty of death that many people knew in their worlds has a way of changing here.

[Undead though? This is new. Enjolras has practically no frame of reference for THAT one, outside of being familiarized, a bit, with the concept now. Still, he has some experience with the first part.]

Myself, and many of my friends had died before we woke here, though. I knew myself to be dying, actively; the squad had done their work. That said, when I woke here...no wounds. I do not even have the scars I ought. I make no complaints about that. It has made life easier but still. Considering such is ODD.

As to the other senses of dead here...I am uncertain. I believe there are immortals among others though, if that may be of any help.

[It is really hard to not tack on a 'sir' at the end of that. Whoever this guy is, he sounds very well-mannered, but first impressions usually aren't everything.]

I've noticed that, too. Maybe this counts as the Afterlife for some?

An insurrection, actually. [Enjolras's gaze is somewhat far away here, as it tends to be when he speaks of the barricades but even so...] We were hardly what the government would want for soldiers when we stood against it, but it was a war of sorts, yes, I suppose. As to the afterlife... Mm I can see that somewhat. There has been enough trial for some to pass through like a sort of purgatory.

It doesn't sound like it went well.

Now I'm just wondering if I actually did die, and I didn't realize it. Like something happened too quickly for e to notice.

It really does, doesn't it? Because the last thing I remember before I showed up here, I was being escorted home by a zombie named R who had kept me safe from harm for a few days.

[yes, that is as convoluted as it sounds.]

The likelihood of something happening to me then is still very high.

I suppose it is at that. We can hardly know for certain in the end.

It was at first. I am used to that by now but when I was first told, it certainly was.

What did you do?

Well, nothing in particular, really. It was simply...another very odd moment in my life here, I suppose. I did ask questions of someone who I thought would be impartial to learn what I do not remember, all of which...it sounds like I would do it.

Well, one WOULD hope for that in the end I suppose. The best that the situation might bring us, I suppose.
