[ To those most familiar with human coloring, the woman in the video may look a little odd. She’s got red skin, black hair, and eyes that glow yellow where her pupils should be. She’s also noticeably more muscular than the average woman. Bigger, too. She fills up the screen, leaving relatively little to see behind her.

Judging from the frown that twists her black lips, she isn’t particularly happy. ]

All right. It’s been three days. The guys that brought me here promised me a fight. A “strong” — [ The quotation marks are audible, as is the faint sneer of disbelief when she says the word. ] — enemy.

So where is it? I’m bored.

[ This isn't a face she recognizes. Still, he's claiming to be strong. That's enough to interest her. ]

Who are you?

[andaway]

Superman. [Usually he adds 'or Kal-El if you'd rather', too many people find Superman to be a bit too ridiculous. He doesn't know why exactly, but he gets the feeling he doesn't need such pleasantries with her.]

And you are?

[ She doesn't even bat an eye. Just accepts the name as easily if he'd said his name was John. ]

Red She-Hulk.

[ Possibly because her own name is ridiculous. ]

[Hulk. He's heard the name before, he's sure- but right now he can't pinpoint where.]

Most people aren't that eager to start a fight when they get here, Red She-Hulk.

I'm not most people.

[ But she isn't a mindless monster either and doesn't want to give that impression. ]

They said they brought me here to fight. So I'm ready to fight.

[andaway]

You make it sound like being brought to a city on the top of a giant turtle to fight is just another Tuesday for you.

[undoubtable]

Not quite every Tuesday.

[ She smiles. ]

I've done a lot of interdimensional travel lately.

[andaway]

Welcome to the club then, I hope you enjoy your stay.

[A little shrug] But like I said, we can't punch our way out of this. We're here to fight, but it's more complicated than that. Have you been filled in by now, or do you have any questions?

[undoubtable]

Maybe one.

They said we had to get a job. Were they serious?

[andaway]

[A little laugh] Well, yes. You have to get a job as much as you have to back at home, I guess- if you want to have some income you must work for it.

[undoubtable]

So they bring us here to fight their war and they make us get a job? Most countries just pay their soldiers.

[andaway]

We're not soldiers though. There are children, people who wouldn't be able to fight... the intention might have been for us to fight, but right now we're mostly a waste of resource. I'm aware we were brought here against our will but it isn't the Kedan's fault, and they do a lot already by giving us a home, food, a network...

Working a bit for them is the least we can do.

[undoubtable]

If it's not their fault, who is responsible for bringing us here?

[andaway]

The Emperor. Eshai, have you been told about her?

[He'd seen other people welcome her, so he'd assumed they would have. Eshai and Evandau were the two main topics to tell welcomers, in Kal's opinion.]

No, I haven't. Isn't she one of the kedan?

[ This is why Betty in her human form is the brains of the operation. The Hulk part of her doesn't think to ask anyone who's in charge. ]

[andaway]

We actually don't know for sure what she is, but we do know she isn't a Kedan. She's just the Emperor- as in, she's in charge.

We have reasons to believe she comes from the mainland- have yo been told about the mainland, actually?

I think there's a lot I haven't been told.

So the people from the mainland are the ones in charge of the people on the turtles?

They are the only survivors of the mainland, and we have reasons to believe the Kedan were actually made by them. I wish I could say more, but I've been here for a year and still we know so little...

They made kedan? So they're what, machines? Genetically engineered people? Are there any popular theories?

A mix of science of magic has been the best bet for now. We found cloning facilities, and the Emperor has mentioned some spells. [He shrugs] The nature of those spells is still completely unknown though.

So they're some kind of magically enhanced clones? That's new. Not as weird as it could be, but strange.

My thoughts exactly. More than 'enhanced', we think they use the spells to put our memories- souls, spirits... whatever you want to call it- inside of the bodies they have cloned.

How they got our DNA to begin with remains to be seen.

[ She blinks, that information catching her momentarily off-guard. ]

We're clones? But how... I'm not even completely human. How—Magic again, right?

I'm an alien, and there are other hybrids around here. I don't think that really matters. But we aren't really clone as much as our... bodies are, if that makes sense?

We still have our memories. So we're still us.

I guess no one knows what's happening to our bodies back home. I mean, if our minds are here, I hate to think what's happening when people find the rest of us.
