[For anyone who might have seen the lighter Arthur during the snow event, or even before then, that isn’t the man sitting in front of the console today. This is every bit King Orin, solemn and serious, businesslike despite still being damp from the canals. Mera is sitting in his lap so that both of them show up in the video, looking just as solemn, displeased almost. Whatever it is, it’s something that concerns them both, obviously. Arthur is the one who speaks first.]
The marine life in the canals are showing signs of distress. Something is wrong with the water, and I believe it’s getting worse. They’re... starving. [A flash of worry breaks through the serious expression; he’s been picking up on a lot of this distress in the last twenty four hours or so, finding it difficult to tune out.]
[Mera speaks up next, shifting a bit in her husband’s lap] While I can’t speak for the condition of the sea life as well as Arthur can, I can confirm that there is absolutely something wrong with the water. [She holds her hand up to the camera. In it is a cube of what looks like hardened, very cloudy water.] I’ve taken a sample from the canal but science isn’t exactly my area of expertise.
The marine life in the Water Sector are dying slowly. I know there are those of you who don’t care about the life being lost, but this will likely affect everyone who lives in this sector. And if you rely on the water in the canals, please be careful. [The shadow of a slight grimace crosses his expression for a second, a headache maybe, from so much psychic distress.]
[Mera frowns, ducking a bit to press a kiss to Arthur’s temple. She doesn’t care who sees her being affectionate with him.] And if there is anyone who would like a sample of the canal water to look at, well, I’ll happily provide you with one. I can make more cubes like this one.
[ooc: Green is Mera, regular text is Arthur. Both will be responding.]
