Regretfully, I am in no condition at the present time to proceed with any matters regarding a council, save for advisory if needed. I will bear no ill will to anyone who decides to continue the project without me, and perhaps the critics of mine are correct in thinking that I have no place on it at all.

As well, I did not intend to antagonize the rest of the population by putting my brother's past crimes out in the open. I realize that it's my word against his and that he has, if anything, been helpful more than harmful here, but at the same time if I knew about his past and didn't give some sort of warning I would feel responsible if he were to start something here and catch everyone off guard. I don't regret my warning, but I can't stop anyone from associating with him, and if you choose to do so I won't interfere anymore.

However, I must say that I find it suspect that I've received more vitriol for confessing to my own past than he has about hiding his. I suppose honesty is not always the best policy. [This particular statement is said with no shortage of bitterness, although his general tone is resign more than resentment.]

That said, given that things are fairly quiet right now: I am requesting to be left alone for the time being. Suspicions I've had about events in my own world have recently been confirmed and along with certain other current events, I need some time to sort things out. If you have any grievances left with me, please air them now. Otherwise, I ask that my request for privacy be respected.

[ Rikki thought about going somewhere to do this anonymously, but what the hell, the people who matter are probably going to figure out (or worry) it's her anyway. So she's just sitting at her own console, face in her hands and not exactly looking at the screen. ]

As much as I hate to ask this...is there anyone here that gives loans? I'd rather not ask any of the Kedan and this is for something I'm pretty sure is important...

[Victor rubs the back of his neck and looks away from the camera. He feels pretty awkward asking for money like this but getting that book translated is important!]

And before I forget, has anyone been studying or trying to figure out the whole power-loss thing when we leave the turtle? If you have, I'd like to talk with you please.

[Another awkward subject but he lets it pass. Taking a deep breath, Victor smiles and settles back in his chair.]

On a more happy note, if anyone is looking for me or Santo this weekend, we won't be around. He and I are going on a little trip out of the city and we'll be gone for two days so we'll be away from the consoles here. We'll come back if there's an emergency or something but try not to burn the place down while we're away? [He's teasing a bit.]
