So, who all here is into racing?

[simple, direct, to the point. she's smiling as she says it, though. It's about equal parts mischievous and competitive.]

Oh! And for anyone working on or interested in Mr. Kent's newspaper, I'm going to be writing a section on automotives. If anyone has any information on any of the vehicles or mechanics here, I'd love to talk shop. Thanks.

[She gives the camera a little wave, and disconnects.]

I'm not an editor, but I would happy to.

[ Miranda is surprised with herself that she said yes in the first place. Asami y u so little sister tier. ]

[ She rolled her shoulders ]

If you dumb it down, then you're not going to get much in the way for a desirable readership. On the other hand -- you don't want to be a technical journal. I've written my share of dissertations to reports to know a happy medium.

Raise your standards, Ms. Asami; any help isn't the best policy.

[ Miranda is a lovely person ]

You're in the Fire Sector, aren't you? I'll be more than happy to go over this with you. Not much left for me to do after this stack of budget drafts.

Of course.

[ Yes but do you have enough Paragon points for that. ]

I'm out in 2A, but my neighbor can be a real piece of work. The plaza down closer to the business district would be an excuse to get out and work in a more open environment. Are you a tea or coffee person, Asami?

[ Miranda smiled as amicable as she could manage to. Still entirely unsure why she agreed to this in the first place. ]

Thank goodness, now I have some reference level to what we'd both find agreeable.

[ Down in the plaza at an open table situation in the shopping centre with the fire gardens artfully surrounding its entirety, Miranda kept an eye peeled for the first sign of Asami. She multitasked with a hefty stack of paperwork from her actual job. ]

[ When Asami did show, Miranda had already enthused herself over a stack of handwritten drafts of fiscal summaries. She almost didn't notice her until her footsteps preceded her friendly greeting. Miranda did the actual polite thing, and put down her paperwork. Even going so far as to extend a hand and pull out the chair closest to her. ]

The feeling's mutual. Please, have a seat.

Fiscal summaries for my interim employer here. Not much for number crunching, that man.

[ With eyes that stuck out against her dark hair, Miranda distantly registered why she had almost called her Oriana when they met. Of course, Asami was a sharp beauty in here own right. ]

Would you like to wait for coffee first, or get down to business?

You were right to be concerned that you were too technical in the draft.

[ Miranda put it so bluntly as only she could. While really as much an editor as she was an enthusiast for this sort of thing, she knew tech and how to explain to those that didn't. Asami struck her then as someone that had more experience bouncing off those that knew their stuff, and liable to her lost in their own jargon. She could sympathize with her there.

Document in hand, Miranda stoke a red pen across it every now and again between pulls of her luke warm coffee.
]

But you've found a happy medium, and I think it would reach most reference levels in your readership. You know what you're talking about no question there. My only suggestion is that you branch out a little, and maybe try to trim it down to a single topic in each article. Give yourself more room to go into greater detail.

This would work as an introductory piece, though.

I know that look.

[ Miranda actually smiled; albeit in her usual, reserved sort of way. She flipped through the small stack Asami handed her once more then slide it back down to Asami's side of the table. ]

The last thing they teach us better bred sort is how to take criticism. It's alright.
