[Catty is looking totally relaxed, leaning forward with her elbows on the desk, and her chin resting on her hands]

Hey, so, I can timetravel. [Yup just slamming that out there] And even though it's gone super weird here and I can't touch anything when I got back, or even have anyone notice me, it's still good for overhearing things. [A beat] Which, um, I haven't done to anyone here. So you know.

But I was thinking, there has to be some point in the past where things related to us were discussed, right? And if no one can see or hear us...well, we might be able to find out something interesting. Or important.

[She sucks in a breath, straightening] But I don't want to keep this to myself. So I'm asking for volunteers who don't mind stepping into a tunnel between space and time and exploring history. Vanessa'll tell you that it smells like cabbage, but she's kind of finicky. It's totally safe, and it doesn't smell bad at all, I promise. [yes it does] I think I'll be able to take four people back? My only real thing is that, if you come, you have to share what you find. It's not fair, otherwise.

[She gives a casual salute] Okay, Catty out! Just let me know if you're interested, okay?

I'm not finicky. It's gross and terrible, and there's no way I'm going with you on this.

[Yeah she is.]

You're going to let me go maybe hundreds of years in the past by myself with a bunch of people that, let's face it, I don't know very well?

Can you really go hundreds of years in the past?

[There's a pause. She looks away, aware that this is a power she gained through embracing her darker side] I'll take my watch just to be sure I've got a handle on everything. But I don't see why I couldn't.

[Vanessa knows all about that kind of thing, gaining powers through the dark side.] It's just that you never have before, have you? Even back home?

I have no idea. I didn't really try back then. Most of the time I was just messing around with it, skipping class and stuff. When I needed to go back further, I just hopped back a day at a time. Except for that time I went and saw my mom, but it was Stanton who helped me then. [Stanton, who was and is definitely dark side. Catty abruptly feels something that she never would have thought possible; she misses the grumpy jerk.]

[She seems more subdued] The point is, I can do it now.

[A confused look.] Have you done it now? I mean, I know how you used to do it before... Before. [The whole joining the Atrox and gaining dark side powers.] But the only time we went together was that horrible moment with Michael.

It's pretty much the same as when we went back to spy on your crappy boyfriend, yes. Smooth landings, no watch. I'm just...more connected, I guess. I learnt how to focus better, and I'm stronger in general. I've never tried going really really far back, but there's no reason I could think of that I wouldn't be able to. If I get tired, I can just take a nap ten years ago and keep going.

And I've been testing it here! I know you don't like to come, so I haven't been bringing you along. But I really want you in on this one, Vanessa.

Michael isn't crappy! Take that back, okay? He's a really nice and sweet guy. [e_e don't talk about him, Catty.] Time travel gives me a headache. [Take a nap ten years ago. Gurl pls.

[A bright smile] It wouldn't be the same if you didn't.
