[Catty is looking totally relaxed, leaning forward with her elbows on the desk, and her chin resting on her hands]

Hey, so, I can timetravel. [Yup just slamming that out there] And even though it's gone super weird here and I can't touch anything when I got back, or even have anyone notice me, it's still good for overhearing things. [A beat] Which, um, I haven't done to anyone here. So you know.

But I was thinking, there has to be some point in the past where things related to us were discussed, right? And if no one can see or hear us...well, we might be able to find out something interesting. Or important.

[She sucks in a breath, straightening] But I don't want to keep this to myself. So I'm asking for volunteers who don't mind stepping into a tunnel between space and time and exploring history. Vanessa'll tell you that it smells like cabbage, but she's kind of finicky. It's totally safe, and it doesn't smell bad at all, I promise. [yes it does] I think I'll be able to take four people back? My only real thing is that, if you come, you have to share what you find. It's not fair, otherwise.

[She gives a casual salute] Okay, Catty out! Just let me know if you're interested, okay?

I hope that's true! It's just, they could know, though! It's different, changing the world completely, and changing the past. Because people in the present can possibly remember things, unless... never mind. I hope this works out! I'm sorry, though, I'm not going to... I don't know, sign up for this, or something. But I'd love to hear what you find out?

So you don't want to help out at all, but you want to reap the benefits of my illicit timetravelling? [She grins though; it's pretty clear she's teasing] Don't worry, I'll make sure everyone knows whatever we find out. And don't worry about the past stuff, either. It's going to be fine.

[A beat] Oh! What's your name, by the way? I don't think we've actually spoken before now.

Yup! Pretty much. I want to be that reporter that runs away from a tornado really fast, but when it's over, I'm the first one to talk to everyone who survived it. [That sounded so much better in his head.] That was a really bad example, so if you do change anything in the past, could you please erase that? [He grins.]

Oh! Sorry, wow, my mom would really be ashamed of my poor manners, I've done this every time. I'm Billy Kaplan, it's nice to meet you.

[Catty just looks amused] Not exactly the heroic type, then? [She laughs when he asks her to erase that] Even if I could change things in the past, that's still not how it works. I can't erase you saying dumb things. Although I guess I could slap my hand over your mouth or something, but you'd probably be too busy freaking out about seeing two of me, anyway.

Nice to meet you too, Billy! I sort of mentioned it in my post, but I'm Catty.

Well, actually... [He laughs.] No, don't worry, I know how it works. Out of everything, I think I can live with what I said. Besides, who knows what could happen if you tried. We could be erasing reporters, and who would want that?

[He's just joking. He knows that's not how it works, either, but it's easier to hide his worry, when he's trying to be funny.] Yeah, you did! Is that a nickname, or is actually your name?
