[Vanessa's half turned away from the console when she turns the video on. Multitasking is a lifesaver, honestly. Her fingers are moving over the keyboard sitting next to her, playing a soft melody that's almost like a lullaby. She is a good egg mommy, okay. Turtle-baby needs pretty music.] I don't how it's possible that our items end up in this universe, but I have to say, this is way cheaper than saving my pennies for a piano or something. I can write all the music I want, but it's not the same as listening to it.

[Her fingers keep moving even as she glances up at the screen with a small grin.] Which means that I put the extra bit of juulan I had set aside to a good cause. For those of you who were interested - and anyone new! - I put down a payment for a building in Water to use for the outreach program. We can meet there. [Because the kedan in Water are still hero worshipping her, and she got a place really cheap. It's not the best, but hey. She can't argue with cheap.]

If you don't know what I'm talking about, a couple of months ago, we stumbled on this totally gross drug called Dust. And we want to help the people who are addicted, if you think that might be something you're interested in. You know, helping people, saving Asti, stopping Mally. Heroic things. [She goes quiet for a second, biting her lip.] We can meet and talk about where to start soon.

Good news on the building! And the music isn't half bad, either. [He grins.] Getting a place is the first step. Think I can come by and check it out, soon? We can talk more about the program!

Isn't half bad? You sure know how to give a compliment. [but she grins back.] Yeah, sure. Let me know whenever you're free.

I can't say I'm a great judge of music, so you could be playing the kazoo and I'd still think it was great! [He laughs.]

Right now, it's whenever you are. I don't have any jobs that have started yet, besides the usual, so I'm a pretty free... all the time. That sounds bad. But all the time.

[There's a beat before she laughs.] You're really bad at giving people compliments, aren't you?

[She grins.] Hey, it's not like this place is exactly busy all the time. I have plenty of free time too. How about in a couple of hours, then?

Actually, I've been told I'm really good at that. It's just when it comes to music. I don't have a good ear for it at all. [He laughs back.]

Sounds good. A couple of hours, maybe two? I'll be there in two.

What? Everyone has an ear for music, unless they can't hear at all. [Shaking her head.]

Two hours works. Here's the address. [lalala giving it to him now because idk where it's at.]

I might be legally deaf, then. Or not, should I get some hearing aids and test this out?

[He grins.] See you there!

Maybe see if one of the doctors can test it for you before you decide to start stocking up on hearing aids.

That's a good idea. Maybe they can check out all of my aching joints, I'm getting up there in age.

[He grins.] See you soon.

[And he does, since he's waiting outside the building for her to show up, leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets.]

[Vanessa appears about a second later, seemingly out of thin air. Being open about her powers makes traveling around the turtle so much easier than it had been back in L.A.] Hey!

Hey! [Dick raises his hand in greeting. He definitely looks surprised, but it's really only because he didn't know she could do that kind of thing. He's seen it many times before, though, so it's not a real shocker. He pushes off from the wall.]

That was quick. Quicker then me, jeez, I was only kidding about the age thing. [He laughs, glancing behind him.] So, this is it. It's pretty nice. Big. Big is good.

[Vanessa's full of surprises.] I guess there are some perks that come with being able to scatter your molecules. [It's nice to be so casual about that kind of thing.

She glances up at the building and nods.] Means that plenty of people can be here at once. Or that we could use it for different functions, really. It just needs... A bit of work.

Makes you able to get in front of the line for the swings, that's for sure. [He grins at her before looking back up.]

Maybe more then a bit of work. Can we go inside, see what it looks like?

I'm a little old to be cutting in line at the swings. [A beat.] Not that I would ever do that anyway! [Too goody two-shoes.]

Sure! [She unlocks the door and pushes it open, leading him in. The place isn't exactly falling apart, but it's not in the best of shape either. There are pieces of broken furniture scattered around, old graffiti, and about a million different things.

It could be worse.] Not too bad, huh?

It's pretty good! [Dick goes to what he considers the middle looking up at the ceiling.]

Really, this is a great place. We clean it up, maybe paint the walls? Get some new furniture, we can find a ton of stuff on sale. Look at some rummage sales, that kind of thing. [He grins at her.]

Really, this is great! I can't wait to get this going, did you pick out a name yet?
