[So someone forgot in the midst of all the exploring and socializing that he should have been making preparations for his bi-monthly maintenance.

It was this guy, right here. Time flies when you're having fun.

Hello again. I have an urgent request for whoever can help me. I was not particularly forward with the information that I am an android, in part because of my concern at being treated as less than an average individual. However, I have come to regret that as I have a service of maintenance that I require within the next two days, and I did not think to prepare for this preemptively.

My system requires replenishing of a hydraulic fluid that works most similarly with how the human system needs blood. I have to do this every two weeks to remain fully functional. I am not certain if anyone can take a sample and replicate it, but this is my request.

Otherwise, while my power can never run out and I can never die, I will lose mobility and possibly malfunction in other ways.

If anyone is capable of assisting, I would be indebted to you and am willing to provide my services in whatever fashion you may require. I hope for the best. [David gives a troubled smile before ending the video.]

[Nita really can't quantify it much beyond that, because she's bright, but nowhere near Tony's league and wouldn't be able to tell if one of them had the edge on the other.]

Considering that time is of the essence and I am also in the Metal sector, perhaps it is wise that I consult with him.

Not that he wouldn't help anyway, but tell him I sent you.

What's "other ways" supposed to mean?

Well, once my movement is compromised, my ability to process and store information may as well. This also applies to accessing information. It could mean corruption of my memories if information is accessed or stored improperly.

I am not certain. I do not know the exact makeup of the fluid my system requires but it is a mixture of water, certain oils, and specific mineral components my system needs, same as with human blood requiring iron. The question is if the minerals, the most important part, are available in the natural resources here or if there is an equivalent to them.

[WAY over her head. Ororo's only experience with fluids and, erm, hydraulics would be flushing the plumbing, as it were.]

So much for the Tin Man cure.

Wait. If you're an android, how come you don't know what all you're made up of? Wouldn't that be, like, programmed into you or something?

I know certain parts, but my kind are only made to be aware of at what level we need to rehydrate ourselves. Other forms of maintenance are out of our hands, perhaps as a method to prevent us from becoming entirely self-sufficient.

[The huff of a sigh. She's rolling her eyes too, for the record.]

Figured that a built-in manual'd be out of the question too.

That would be appreciated. If you have a working area of some kind, [A young man having a whole facility seems like a big assumption to make,] I can come there. I can tell you anything else you would need to know while you work.

[He nods.] Would it be possible to meet you within the hour? Other offers have come up and I imagine that given what is available here naturally, it would be wise to have more than one mind at work on this.

That is a reasonable request. [Damian might be bristling a little, but he knows that it is.] If nothing else, people disappear from here with no warning. It would not do to put all the information only into one potential source only to have the vanish on you before they are done.

It is, though of no fault but my own for not thinking to prepare. Nita said you could help, and a young man named Damian Wayne has offered, who I am to meet at Wayne Enterprises. I do not know if you are affiliated with him by any chance, but one mind can see things another cannot sometimes.

I don't know them personally, but the company is a big presence here. If they're offering help, it probably couldn't hurt.

That said, if you want me to take a look, I can do that too. It sounds straightforward enough.

It was brought to my attention that people leave here just as they are brought to this place, so investing effort as a group seems wise. However, if you have your own facility you would prefer to work at, I can come and see you after my time there.

I like group efforts. They work just fine.

But I do my best work alone. No offense to anyone else. I just like to keep things from getting out of hand. [That isn't a great way to explain, but Tony is particular about his tech.]

I'm familiar with a system of a similar nature, actually, although it takes much longer than two weeks for it to fail. Given a sample and time, I don't see why I couldn't come up with an acceptable substitute.

That's wonderful news. A young man of Wayne Enterprises offered I meet him there. Perhaps efforts can be pooled together?

( researching alternate forms of energy is what shockwave does best and since nothing about what he's described makes it seem like the liquid is naturally occurring, it shouldn't be a problem. )
