[Hello, Turtle. Here is an Enjolras who looks a bit embarrassed that he's even started this late night/very early morning post, but well. The question he wants to ask IS actually a valid one, now that he has TIME to ask it, and he finds the current most popular phrases to be incredibly awkward or childish so..The hell with it. People have asked all sorts of questions here, haven't they? He's clearing his throat, flushing a little, then glancing into the vid directly and clearing his throat.]
A question, everyone.
I find that most of the current terms for one's...romantic friend...but more than such are either juvenile or not quite accurate. 'Boyfriend' for example, makes us sound as if we were children, 'Partner' has several connotations that do not immediately state the obvious and 'Lover' sounds particularly awkward.
[And well, they have not quite gotten to the lovers stage yet. Enjolras is hardly ready for it and still accustoming himself to the kissing and cuddling things that he never let himself seek out in life.]
When others here speak of the other piece of their soul as he is to me...what terms seem to work best for you?
[He will deny this video happened later. He really will. He just...really wishes to know and can't sleep so...here it is. Have fun with it?]

It doesn't matter how long it's been. If it feels right, then it's right. A good relationship ages like fine wine, and I'd rather be drinking that then something else. [He laughs.]
It's good! Next thing you know, you're getting married, buying a house, having some kids or adopting some kids, growing old together with rockers on a porch... [He's definitely teasing.]
Re: [video]
[And okay, Enjolras is pausing at the children bit, then snorting a little at the actual thought of such.]
I somehow cannot imagine quite that, no. Adorable as they might be.
Re: [video]
[Suspicious over-dramatic look.] Do you like kids? Is that where this is going?
Re: [video]
[Enjolras blinks a bit, missing the humor in that, or the implications at the end there. So Dick, you're getting a quizical eyebrow there.]
I cannot see either one of us with those of our own, somehow. I knew a grand total of one in Paris and he was...quite unusual.
How have you known only one kid? [He's assuming that there were kids in Paris. You know, besides one.] Why was he unusual?
Ah, well I have not known any since school myself, and never well, until Gavroche turned up. I was reading law in Paris and most of my friends were students too. We tended not to run in to many of them. Surely a few were uncles but many of us had either been disowned or actively avoided the rest of our families so...
[Enjolras shrugs a little as he points this out.]
That said though, Gavroche is...really it would require meeting him, but he was a gamin, a child from the streets of Paris and he has a wisdom gained from that, as well as an intelligence that goes far beyond his years. He is as brave as, braver in some cases than the men my friends and I recruited to help us fight and who came to our barricade. I am hard pressed to see him as anything other than an adult already though he's young.
He is here as well though. Perhaps you'll meet at some point.

That sounds quite like something he would like, yes.
