Will attempt to compile results into meaningful commonalities across dimensions. Maybe there's a universal law somewhere.

Pretty sure things in my world are just-- normal. We don't have superpowers or heroes. We have gravity and space, but no aliens. Just normal.

That's actually encouraging. I think I want to move there.

Honestly it did not make me prepared for this place. Like all these places with superpowers or zombies or whatever, they're just stories where I'm from. Movies or books or comics or something.

Real life is never that interesting. Or it's worse. We escape to those worlds because the truth is our reality isn't interesting or we escape, because what people can do is so much worse.

[angermanaging]

[That gets at him a little more than he's admitting to, and he suddenly sobers, showing more of his honest side than the easy-going, self-deprecating man he presents. Bruce at heart is a serious, deeply introspective person.]

It's not any different with powers or superheroes. People are the same. The... tragedies and the joys are the same.

[Abruptly,] That's what I'm getting out of this. You can be more or less prepared for the-- the insanity, and it's more interesting than straight normality, but it's not an escape. There is no escape. It's a different setting.

[This is what constitutes encouraging sentiments to Bruce.]

So you're saying people with powers and abilities are just-- as normal. I guess that's another aspect to story telling in my world. Regular people with extraordinary situations.

Yeah. I'm saying 'regular' has... has lost meaning, around here.

[Except he still doesn't feel human. Or he feels too human. Bruce is never sure which it is.]

And that some people with extraordinary situations would rather they weren't.
