It's undeniably comforting to finally have the context for how he and Tony had become friends. Bruce is trying not to feel charmed, but he's reluctantly charmed. If anything, he sounds more at ease, rather than disgruntled.

The laws of motion are intact, for the most part. Conservation of mass and energy are also intact, for the most part. Living creatures, usually, age, and living creatures, usually, die. Sorcery and the supernatural are, for the most part, unknown to the bulk of the population and considered nonexistent.

Exceptions exist, however.

Well, let's see... laws of magic. Everyone has the capability of magic. There does have to be a means to channel it through if you are not well-versed, however. This is also true if you wish to be granted ... attributes. Additional to the ones that you have already, like strength or speed. These cannot be cast upon a person but rather can be crafted into the metal of an accessory and worn.

There are other rules, but those are the ones I can think of now. [ And decides to leave off talking about Pacts, and how cutting and hacking away at enemies is the way to gain health. ]

You mentioned conservation of mass. I'm no physicist, but in my universe, we have something called the mass effect. There's an element - Element Zero, though most people just call it eezo. When it's hit with the right kind of electrical current, dark energy is manipulated to increase or decrease the mass of objects.

It allows us to do all kinds of things, but probably the most important is near-instantaneous travel to different parts of the galaxy, using devices called mass relays. Kind of like a giant slingshot.

As a biotic, I can create small mass effect fields via the implants in my body. They allow me to charge quickly across a short distance, and throw things around. Like telekinesis.

I'm betting when it was discovered, it jump started technological advances? Do you see any distinction between the mass effect and what someone uninformed would call magic?

The only constant is "no matter what, there is always a price." Your desire for more detailed universal laws is for naught.

Sciences exist for small men to try to understand the complex weave of magics that cannot be quantified. And, even then, the laws of magic tremble on the edge of being rewritten as we correspond. The rules never stay static, and it's a very fun game to play.

It's not for naught. Even true randomness exhibits some repetitions. You might want to have all the answers, but you don't. Even your scope is limited.

I'm sure it was right. It fits with what everyone else has told me. And it turns out I didn't buy the teamwork thing any more then than I do here, so. [Bruce shakes his head briefly.] At least reality hasn't totally given up on consistency.

Gravity is approximately 9.81 m/s2. We have conservation of mass and energy, of linear momentum, probability, angular momentum etc. I can write down the exact formulas if needed, as well as the formula for general relativity or others you might need but I haven't seen anything that would made me think rules don't work the same in most universes and Earths.

[The main difference would be Kryptonite but he's not so willing to share it to anyone now that Luthor has some.]

If information about other worlds from my same universe is needed I'm sure both my father and my cousin would be willing to share information about Krypton.

I can't really help out about the rules of magic since magic and I never got along.

I don't have a real reason for asking about Krypton except curiosity. I'll have to ask her later. When else would I get a chance to compare planets?

Gravity, conservation of mass, and thermodynamics all hold in my universe. What most seem to find jarring about my universe is eleth, a kind of elemental life energy produced by the core of a planet.
