The police here are just as useless as the ones back home.

And yes, just the other day. Thankfully, someone pointed out that it was murder. Sadly, they were not on the force and only got shoo'd away. [ It was him. He did it, but that was as his teenage self and so a secret. ]

[ There's a pause and Lincoln's thinking it over. It could be meaningless, but for an obvious murder to get shuffled off, there might be something more there. ]

No. All I know is that it was one of the locals.

And it was with a gun? [ That's strange. He didn't think the kedan carried guns very often. ]

How it was does isn't as important as the fact that is most definitely murder.

Sure it does. If it's a gun, you can trace it. There aren't a lot of firearms in Keeliai, so that'd stick out.

The gun was left in the victims hand. And it's not that simple, there's no guarantee that the person that fired the gun can be traced back to it. You can trace it back to the original owner but if you find it was stolen you're straight back to square one as murder inquiry goes. Besides, they tried to say it was a suicide-it wasn't.

And it doesn't matter now because someone solved it-finally. [ It was him. He solved it, but since that was during the time he was-er-standing over two feet taller he'll leave it vague. ]
