Well I guess I can check 'get turned into a girl' off my list of things to do on the turtle.

[The voice is as deadpanned as it sounds as the feed flicks properly onto video. Instead of the gangly, awkward boy the citizens were introduced to a few weeks back, there is a young girl peering into the communicator. Hiccup shifts awkwardly, crossing her arms over her chest in a bit of embarrassment.]

I don't have to wear a skirt or anything, do I? [She pauses to brush her hair away from her eyes.] Ah, but...could someone braid my hair? It's a bit ridiculous and I've never really...ever done it myself.

I feel you about the hair though. Mine didn't grow all that much but it's already bothersome, how do girls even do it every day?

[Genuine curiosity here. He blinks at the strange word, tilting his head. His own chest area was about as filled out as the girls back home were, and he reached up to lightly rub at them before realizing what he was doing and blushed, crossing his arms over his chest again.]

I don't know. Most of the girls in my village wear them in one or two braids, depending. My fri...Ruffnut has hers in three parts. [He couldn't really call the twins or any of that group his friends, considering how long he'd spent on the outside.] I'm not even sure what to do with it honestly.

Uhm- [A light blush] a bra is what girls use to hold their. Uh, breasts. So I'm glad we don't have to get one. Most of my clothes don't fit me now though, I'm a little shorter.

[He tilts his head at the word 'village', but doesn't comment on it. But that along with not knowing what a bra is tells Frank the kid is probably not from the same time he is.] We can cut it, if you want?

[A deep flush crosses his face and he hugs his arms around his chest a bit more than before. He shakes his head.]

I can't cut it. I mean I could since I'm not technically a girl but...ugh, I'm so confused.

[He raises an eyebrow, reaching to tug some of his own hair behind his ear.]

'Can't' cut it? But you had it short before you- well, before this. Right?

[Nobody's really caught him up on what a girl can and can't do yet.]

[He tilts his head. Is this a cultural thing? Because he was raised in a Very Asian Household, he knows about that kind of things.] Girls can have short hair as well. See? I'm a girl now, and my hair is fairly short. But if you'd rather have it long and you don't want braids, how does a ponytail sound?
