Well I guess I can check 'get turned into a girl' off my list of things to do on the turtle.

[The voice is as deadpanned as it sounds as the feed flicks properly onto video. Instead of the gangly, awkward boy the citizens were introduced to a few weeks back, there is a young girl peering into the communicator. Hiccup shifts awkwardly, crossing her arms over her chest in a bit of embarrassment.]

I don't have to wear a skirt or anything, do I? [She pauses to brush her hair away from her eyes.] Ah, but...could someone braid my hair? It's a bit ridiculous and I've never really...ever done it myself.

[ Not that he could if he wanted to, but hypotheticals were fun. ]

[Hictoria??? What kind of a name was that? Hiccup rubbed the bridge of his nose before he visibly perks. Then a small frown crosses his face. No, Loki is a trickster in their mythology, why wouldn't this one be the same? All Gods were universal and all that. His mother had always said not to trust tricksters or fae. He purses his lips together, then raises an eyebrow.]

I'd say I'd have to be really dumb to trust you for starters. You're a trickster. What would be in it for you to turn me back when you're having so much fun at my expense?

Well, I suppose you've got your brain going for you if nothing else.

[ He grins, completely unoffended. ]

I'm guessing you don't get that kind of reaction a lot.

[He's actually a little surprised, but he's starting to get the feeling some modern people aren't that much smarter than the other vikings he interacts with.]
