To everyone who has found themselves in someone else's body: stop. panicking.

[ This is something she has rather personal experience with and while she knows that 'disconcerting' doesn't even begin to cover it, Raven feels like she's talking down a hysterical Starfire all over again. ]

Find whomever you've switched with and talk to them. It's in their best interests to help you with any abilities or requirements their body has.

[ a pause and then she adds, in a tone that suggests she is mentioning this because she knows it's going to be necessary: ]

And don't "experiment" with what's not yours.

How're you gonna know? Are they supposed to report back to you?

Actually I was going to measure it by the lack of screeching and things blowing in the streets from no one knowing how to control powers that aren't theirs.

I didn't know there was a quantifiable scare for that. [One teenager freaking out about a power that's not theirs equals how many blown up objects, exactly?] But I hope for your sake it helps.

Wards. [He's going to assume here she doesn't mean the small children type of wards.] What kind of wards were they? Or is that top-secret classified information of the type 'if I told you I'd have to kill you'?

It's not a secret, they're shield wards-- magical barriers. I use several, both personal and perimeter.

Sounds handy. Do they just--repel everything that gets thrown at them, magical or physical or whatever?

[His ignorance of most things magical is clearly showing.]

Some are for magical energies and some are for physical. There are ones that block both but they're draining to maintain all the time.

I guess it's the magical equivalent of having a security system set up in your place, huh?

Basically, yes. Most magic users get into that habit of maintaining them.

No problem. [But he has another question, sorry.] So, wait. If you can do magic stuff though, can you figure out what went wrong and fix it?

I've been working on it, but the magic that initiated this is very different than the kinds that I know. Between that and interacting with the energies generated by the turtle, it's going to take some time to sort out.
