[Hayley's not Loki's biggest fan, but she really hasn't had much to eat in days and thus finds herself begrudgingly considering his offer.]

A peace offering. [The skepticism. Then she concedes.] Fine, whatever. You can bring something if you want to, but you can't stay.

So where shall I bring them? Or ought I just spontaneously appear near you? I can do that, it's a thing.

No! [Her reply is a little too quick, clearly defensive. The last thing she wants is her last bastion of safety soiled by a near stranger.]

No. Look, I'm actually going out anyway, so you can just meet me on the way, okay? [Location attached, on the outskirts of the Metal Sector.]

[ And he's gone. It takes him almost no time at all to go from Fire Sector to obtain a box of pastries from his favorite place in Earth Sector, and lastly to the area on the outskirts of the Metal Sector. Easily in ten minutes, tops.

Being a god was particularly convenient.

So he'll be weird and conspicuous and eating a snack that looks roughly similar to a cheese danish and tastes utterly bizarre. It's sugary, though, and so he appreciates it. ]

[Hayley takes longer to get there than Loki does with his whole teleportation magic thing. She pulls up short when she spots him, pauses to stare, and then continues forward to approach. The girl's in simple clothes, red hood of her jacket pulled up over her head. She looks pale, with circles under her eyes and not exactly charismatic.]

[ He looks her over, intrigued. She looks nothing like he'd expected, but the body switch thing had probably been the cause of that issue. ]

You look to be having a rough day.

[She holds out a hand for the pastries. While normally she isn't so rude, Loki's continual attitude has her a bit on edge and she's not all that inclined to continue accepting it.]

[ He keeps his tone faintly playful, not at all put off by the sarcasm. ]

[Hayley withdraws her hand when it remains empty, frowning at him. Her arms drop to her sides with disapproval, but she can't deny that she's curious. She still has every reason to believe that her consciousness is more likely to be caused by memory than some 'soul,' but she's also a little worried he might try to kill her again somehow.

The thought makes her take a step back.] Not right now, no.

Oh, you're not going to leave me disappointed, are you? I get to talk, you get your apology-pastries, and everyone's happy.

[She raises both eyebrows. If he's trying, she'll do her bit to allow it. Mostly because she still hasn't decided what kind of person he is and that might intrigue her when she's not distracted with her own issues.]
