seven : a scary conversation [AUDIO]
[Hayley sighs a little, then sounds mostly disappointed. Those paying close attention can probably tell it masks a level of anger.]
Seriously? Is no one talking about the whole people getting murdered thing?
[ooc: Action for Superman is in first thread]
[100% Trek encrypted to: Clark]
[There's the longest pause before she speaks, extremely quiet and definitely scared.]
So I, uh.. was dead.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Lois]
[Her voice is mostly level when she messages Lois, but clearly hiding something less neutral.]
I know you and Clark tell each other everything, so whatever. I need some time off from the radio.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Bruce Banner]
You need to see something. Can you come over later?
[100% Trek encrypted to: Dick Grayson (comics)]
You know, you never actually told me who your family members are.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Jason Todd]
Tell me you're not too busy for a drink.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Maxwell Lord]
[There's a pause, then Hayley sounds more pleasant.]
Hey.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Chekov]
Will you help teach me how to encrypt things? I want to learn.
[100% Trek encrypted to: Loki]
What makes a soul any different from just like, memories and neurons and whatever?
[100% Trek encrypted to: Jor-El] - (added a short while later)
You have all the same powers Superman does, right?
[100% Trek encrypted to: Bruce Wayne] - (added a short while later)
I'm sorry, about work. I just need a few more days off and then I'll come back. Please?
[Assume she hasn't shown up the last week or so.]
[100% Trek encrypted to: Sabriel] - (added a short while later)
I want to learn magic.

Re: audio; Trek encrypted 100%
[A good sized pause. This is why he'd hedged on admitting anything at first.]
Like Tim. He's my best friend. I'm supposed to be looking out for him. I can't let him get mixed up in anything. Not with some of the guys that've turned up here.

[To the latter, she can't really tell if he means Tim is a hero too or just an average guy getting caught up with heroes. Normally she might push, but she doesn't have it in her right now, not when it doesn't really matter.]
I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to avoid it. Getting mixed up in things, I mean.
Re: audio; Trek encrypted 100%
[Success, then. The correct answer is 'both', but Bart is hoping she thinks Tim's normal, and he doesn't get the mother of all riot acts read to him.]
It's probably not. I wish it was. But you guys are here, and that's. Already mixed up in it.

Re: audio; Trek encrypted 100%
[But he laughs.] Don't worry about it. Er. Well, not a lot of worrying, anyway. But checking in to make sure you're OK until someone catches this guy, we can keep that on the down low. It's not like I was about to start riding a swizard around Keeliai like I was Paul Revere or something shouting "Hey everybody Hayley's my new friend!"
[Deadpan.] I'm holding out for a flying carpet.

[Congratulations, Bart. You're the first person to actually cheer her up a little since her death.]
Okay, maybe we can be friends. But don't push it.
Re: audio; Trek encrypted 100%
[It will go down in history as one of his greatest triumphs, surely. But on a serious note, he's glad to be of service.]
Nah, I wouldn't. Everybody's got their own cliques. I just want to know you're OK.

[Back to more skeptical tones.]
Why?

When she finally speaks, her tone is as awkward as she feels.] I'll.. see you around.
Re: audio; Trek encrypted 100%
... yeah, see you.
