So uh, if we were back on Earth it would be pretty close to Halloween, wouldn't it? Uh, those of you from Earth, I mean.... And Halloween is nothing without horror movies--especially zombie movies. As I don't think moves are an option here, I'm trying to get my horror fix somewhere else. Suggestions??

[He nods.] I'm one of the younger X-men. Even if Wolverine and the others insist we're just students again, my classmates and I are a team. Especially after everything that's happened.

Yeah, but both were kind of in the business, they weren't completely normal. You know what I mean?

What's an X-Men?

I know. Normal is kind of...subjective though.

Oh, the X-men are a superhero team where I'm from. Made up mostly of mutants, they were founded to defend mutants and non-mutants alike. A whole 'protecting a world that hates and fears us' thing.

Well I mean not in the business. I wouldn't know normal if it bit me in the ass at this point.

Is that what you call people with superpowers where you're from? Mutants?

Ah, yeah. That makes sense.

[He shakes his head.] Not all of us. Mutants are just those of us with X-genes. It's a special gene that in the majority of cases, kicks in at puberty and grants a person some kind of power.

There are all kinds of other powered people out there. Mutates, metahumans, magic users, aliens, cyborgs, and more.

You mean you guys don't just have one term for it? I'm half-alien, my girlfriend... [That's... not actually his story to tell] Robot's not actually a robot but he can build like an army and he's a genius, Monster Girl said she was cursed, I think... we're all still considered just super humans.

Sometimes metahuman is used as a blanket term but since there's various different sources of powers...[He shrugs.]

That and somehow there are people that will call for all mutants to be rounded up and put in extermination camps but people like the Fantastic Four or Captain America who got their powers from science are perfectly fine. [Eyeroll.]

Yeah, it's as dumb as it sounds.

I just... that's crazy.

No, my world is pretty pro-superhero. We-we don't have a special classification for "mutant" or anything. We're all in the same category. There's a few crazies out there, but they don't speak for anyone but their own crazy selves...

I'm beginning to think that my world is the only superhero one where the people are nuts in relation to powered types. [He shakes his head.] How do you guys deal with the crazies?

We throw them in jail? [Phrases it as a question because he isn't quite sure what kind of "crazy" he's talking about.]

Your world is so pro-superhero that you get to toss the crazies that speak out against you guys in jail?

Oh, oh! I thought you meant our average crazies.

We let them talk. It's a free country.

That makes more sense. As long as they just stick to talk, they can be easily ignored.
