I haven't seen many new faces in the last while - but if you don't know me, I'm the Headmaster, so if you want to get involved in the school, we should talk. Things have been rather hectic lately, but I hope we can keep everything running smoothly.

[He looks down for a moment.]

Which brings me to a...more personal concern, I suppose. [He isn't used to addressing the network on such issues. Most of his posts have been announcement style, because he's so used to keeping his public image official.]

There are a lot of concerning issues brought up by the Emperor's recent announcement, to say the least. But I have to wonder, specifically, about being sent home. If we are returned back to the point we were taken from, I only have a short time left to live, and I can't be the only one in that situation. Has anyone investigated the possibility of alternative options? Would you want to take such an option, if you could?

There's the Spirit World, but that's a little different. Humans don't usually go there, I don't think. There might be somewhere else, or I might get to live another life altogether, I'm not completely sure.

Ah, well, reincarnation. It would make some manner of sense. But your world must have some arrangement for souls.

If I were to go home, I would be dead.

If I must return to France, I shall, and gladly, but should there be an option that allows for me to remain elsewhere, having served her, I would take it instead.

Near everything was wrong, and near everything had the promise of being made great. The poor subjugated, the king and rulers content to keep it such as it benefited them instead. But there was more, so much more that a republic, ruled by and for the people, where all were equal would have done, will do in some point in the future, I do know that, but never when.

I died...will die, before that greatness is achieved. I am pleased that I died for what France could be, it was the greatest honor I have had, but if I am dead there, and another people is wronged elsewhere, here, that I may help them...I would choose fighting for that people, giving them my last breath first, while I might remain in the position to do so.

Our fight was universal, so it is only fitting I choose to go on in it, I think, if I might have that choice.

I am expecting a void when I am cast back. But if that is my sentence when this is finished, so be it.

I'm also very concerned about where we're taken from and when we return... It's a matter of the continued survival of humanity, and it worries me every day.

But you say you only have a short time left to live?

I've heard that no time passes back home while we're here, but I don't know of anyone who has confirmed that.

But yes, I asked the Emperor to see my future, and I only have a few days left if I return.

How would we be able to confirm that? Has anyone been brought here, returned home, and then brought back?

The Emperor can see the future? [He files that little tidbit of information away as well.] I'm sorry-- that must have been a shock. Do you still wish to return home?

I've never been the most spiritual person - I know they're there, but I don't believe they'll be looking out for me in death, or anything of that sort.

For myself, I would rather remain here. There is work to be done, and much to learn, and at home -- well, my friends and I are, for the most part, dead.
