[There’s a handsome young man sitting in front of the console in a really tight t-shirt that shows off pretty much every muscle in his chest. For the moment, his eyes are a dark blue, and there’s a brooding look on his face. When he crosses his arms over his chest, people can see the leather gloves he’s wearing.

Jonah hasn't really wanted to use this thing, but he can recognize the advantage of being able to talk to people without actually being around them.] I have a couple of questions. First, is there a dry cleaners around here, or does anyone know how to get blood out of denim? Second, gloves. Where is the best place I can get a few pairs? Third, I’m in search of a sword. Any will do at the moment.

[His jaw clenches for a second, shoulders tense.] Another thing. If the words ‘Anchorage’, ‘savant’, or ‘weirstones’ means anything to you, let me know.

[She watches him carefully for a moment, though there's nothing obvious about the studious nature of her gaze.] You're just making it ten times more suspicious by talking around it, you realize. But the point still stands about baking soda.

Yes. His name is Asti. If you don't believe us, you can take a trip up to the head.

You could have been a butcher, or something. [Percy is the most helpful] Although I guess you'd know how to remove blood stains in that case.

[He's honestly actually a little concerned they're talking to a crazy person, and a little of that shows in his expression. but he's not going to mention it, at least not in front of said potential crazy person] What she said. I've been all around him and inside his head, it's definitely a turtle. But...smart. Or wise, I guess. More than any of us.

[Jonah smiles at them both, his gaze moving from Annabeth to Percy. He has no idea if enchanting works this way, but there's a definite subtle shift to a more personable stance, an amused smile on his lips.] It was an accident, that's all. I think you're just trying to find ways to be suspicious. [He sounds friendly, though, not really accusing her.]

Inside of his head?

[sophos]

[Annabeth makes a face.] I'm not trying to be suspicious. [But maybe it's not as suspicious as it seemed...?? But she doesn't remark on that.]

[She shakes her head.] No. Not exactly. Going inside his head completely would be too much to handle.

[kelpful]

[The guys gaze shifts to him, and Percy's mind kind of goes blank for a second] U-uh. [What? Was he suspicious? Are they suspicious? He's finding it hard to focus for some reason, his gaze flickering from Annabeth back to Jonah again] Let's face it, you don't have to try, Annabeth. [Okay, he's found his ground again; teasing Annabeth helps with that.]

Yeah that was - I didn't really explain it properly. But I can talk to sea creatures, and the last time I tried, he basically knocked me out with peace.

[enticingly]

[Jonah knows that look. It's impossible not to after all this time. He bites back a sigh.] I'm actually a little hurt. Here I am, new guy, no idea what's going on around me, and I'm being harassed. [What's a good looking guy to do?]

You. Talk to sea creatures.

[sophos]

[She squints at Percy, in his confusion. And then elbows him in the side for the remark.] Shut up. [Then to Jonah:] And we're not harassing you!

It's a skill. [She says it kind of dryly, maybe teasingly, but he can handle this, because she's prickly right now.] Passed down from father to son.

[kelpful]

Hey, ow. [He nudges Annabeth back] That - uh, that can happen when you show up covered in blood. I mean, it happens to the best of us, but seriously. [He doesn't sound as concerned about it as he did earlier, though]

And it's totally a skill. How many times has it saved your butt, huh? [Turning back to Jonah] I don't know what world you come from, but my dad is kind of...Poseidon. Turtle talking comes with the territory.

[enticingly]

It feels a little like harassment. [There's a deep sincerity to his voice, as if he really believes that. Sometimes, being an enchanter comes through in his favor.]

[She makes a face, because it's not. And she stubbornly refuses to feel like it was, even if the urge grows.] It's a valid concern. We've let it go, how does that still make it harassment?

[Annabeth rolls her eyes at her boyfriend.] I'm not exactly disagreeing. [And with a sigh:] Not like the god. Is the god.
