[ The video starts with a man looking curiously at the screen. He has dark hair and a faint dusting of stubble on his skin, as though in a few hours’ time he may want to find a razor and have himself a shave.

It may be obvious from the way he’s inspecting the console that he isn’t completely at a loss around technology like this. He isn’t exactly familiar with it, but he’s clearly used a computer or something like it once or twice before. Enough that he isn’t fumbling with it or looking at it as though it’s some kind of mystical portal into another world.

It’s also possible that, prior to his turning it on, one of the kedan who showed him to his apartment explained it to him. ]

Hello. [ He pauses just for a moment, then continues. ] I am Castiel.

[ There’s an odd quality to his voice, deep and slightly rough around the edges, as though it’s still rather new and he hasn’t quite mastered it yet. ]

The kedan who summoned me told me that I’m here to help, but they… [ A slight pause, the corner of his mouth pulling into a tiny frown. ] …neglected to provide the details I require to do that. If anyone can share that information with me, I would appreciate it.

Perhaps the true test of a prophet is whether or not the individual wishes to be one. Those I've known have not wanted the role, yet people who will never be prophets continue to claim to be.

[ Now that they're speaking of prophets, false or not, Castiel can't resist asking curiously; ]

Did the Apocalypse come to your world?

[Booker really doesn't have an opinion on real prophets, if they even exist - he's willing to assume they do in other worlds, but probably not in his. Where he comes from, religion is mostly a tool used to get people to do things they might not otherwise do, because God says so.

Still, his question about the apocalypse gives Booker pause for a moment - what made him bring that up? Especially given what he saw just before arriving on the turtle - what Old Elizabeth had shown him.]

Not yet, it hadn't. But that's what Comstock was gearin' up for - he wanted to bring it about, I'm thinking.

It began on the Earth I know, but it was stopped before the world was destroyed. Mostly by the efforts of a few humans.

[ He may have been involved, but he's not giving himself much credit for the Apocalypse's end. The Winchesters, Bobby, and their allies deserved all of that. ]

We didn't think it could be stopped. That destiny was impossible to turn aside. We learned otherwise. It may be much the same for your world as well.

It ain't destiny where I come from. It's one man thinkin' he's God, and we can stop him.

There are those in the world I know who fancy themselves gods. It has never ended well for them.

I'm inclined to agree with you, there. [If Comstock ever shows his face on the turtle, Booker knows it won't end well for him.]

It's helpful to know that there are some constants that persist across all universes.

[ It's the little things that make him happy sometimes. ]
