[Okay, so partying didn't help the overall dreary atmosphere. He's rationalized with himself that he just needs to get used to the place, is all. Part of that was enjoying it, 'cause it could be way worse. Two of his big brothers could be here wanting to rip the other and the surrounding life apart. Could always be worse.]

[Gabriel has a floating cat next to his terminal. Like all good cats, Khoshekh is blocking Gabe's view of the screen, so the observer would see a floating, sleeping cat with an angel's eyes peaking over him.]

So, I'm the proud owner slash temporary babysitter for this kitty-kitty here. His name is Khoshekh and he loves tuna like you wouldn't believe. Can anyone think of good nicknames for Mr. Whiskers before I start calling him Kosher?

[Cause it's inevitable... Gabriel pauses a moment before continuing.]

[Gabriel thinks that most of the population could agree with him about things being generally dreary. What with the Emperor death and all. Which really sucked, considering everything he told her about his brothers was gone now, unless she had the foresight to inform others. He had no plans of going through it all with someone else anytime soon.]

[And then Castiel was gone. Took the tension with him, really, but he would be missed. Not to mention they were one fewer again. And then Betty. Not that he knew her well, but that woman.]

[So, yeah. Crap was sucking and he didn't like it. Gabriel wasn't the type to stare at a wall and lie in misery, so he turned the console on.]

'Sup, folks. It's your favorite person again.

Look, here's the deal. My half-bro's birthday is coming up and that's enough reason for me to celebrate. He's not here, 'course, but I'm sure he's here in spirit or something.

So, who wants to participate in some drinking, dancing, and gift giving? Can't promise it'll be kid friendly, but that's a usual for me.

If nothing else, we can go around as a group and make sure everyone has some proper lights up.

Usually around this time of year, the Cherubim are always buzzing around Heaven and asking for your messages to deliver. I don't suppose there's anything like that here?

And before any of you idiots ask, yes "Cherubim" like the winged ones. Someone's gotta keep the little fuzz-heads employed.

As more than enough time has passed I feel obliged to seek out a means to supply myself in the name of the World Turtle’s cause.

[She just had to make sure to get this computer thing down pat first, and look at her, doing a fine job using the camera…well it’s not as shaky as it was when she first arrived and she’s quite proud of that. More to their credit than hers are the fine tutors she has had in the use of the technology.]

I have been told that one of the essentials of this world is work and seeking it out. Now that I have acquired knowledge about the status of my family and my situation this seems to be the next logical step.

[Even though it is probably out of her typical comfort zone, being the Queen of Asgard she has spent time with her people, the only position she really ever had was that of a wife, mother, and ruler. Now she had to present herself in a way that would make her seem qualified to work…

[ It had been about a day since Peter arrived, and he had to take some time to get his bearings on this strange situation. The last thing he remembered from home was going up in what was probably the last fight of his life against Thanos. And then he was here, with no clue on what happened to either the Mad Titan or one of his closest friends.

He had moped for years, and he couldn't let it continue more than a day here. It may have also been some shock leftover from the events of the Cancerverse. He needed to see what the situation was with the other residents here. It would help if anyone had an idea of what went on back home, and after hearing about the anonymity features in the cafe, he figured that the best option. ]

While trading names first would be the polite thing to do, I don't have the time right now. I have a few questions to see where we all match up:

1) Does "Annihilation War" mean anything to any of you?

2) If you answered yes to the first question, what about "The Fault?"

3) Are there any good places to get a hard drink here?

[ Apologies, everyone. Peter can quite frankly be brusque and an ass when his life's taken an odd turn. For the sake of making sure the questions get out, he repeats them in rough phonetic approximations of the more common Kree and Skrull languages. Long shot, but worth it. ]

[ The video starts with a man looking curiously at the screen. He has dark hair and a faint dusting of stubble on his skin, as though in a few hours’ time he may want to find a razor and have himself a shave.

It may be obvious from the way he’s inspecting the console that he isn’t completely at a loss around technology like this. He isn’t exactly familiar with it, but he’s clearly used a computer or something like it once or twice before. Enough that he isn’t fumbling with it or looking at it as though it’s some kind of mystical portal into another world.

It’s also possible that, prior to his turning it on, one of the kedan who showed him to his apartment explained it to him. ]

Hello. [ He pauses just for a moment, then continues. ] I am Castiel.

[ There’s an odd quality to his voice, deep and slightly rough around the edges, as though it’s still rather new and he hasn’t quite mastered it yet. ]

The kedan who summoned me told me that I’m here to help, but they… [ A slight pause, the corner of his mouth pulling into a tiny frown. ] …neglected to provide the details I require to do that. If anyone can share that information with me, I would appreciate it.

[Well, he's had better days. He died, woke up to a very rude looking woman, been nerfed of his powers, dragged out here, and was told that he needed to find a job. These weird turtle people were about to find a shoe up their ass, but he couldn't really complain, could he? He did think he was dead. Then again, perhaps this was a trick from his brother. Maybe Lucifer didn't actually want to kill him and just sent him here... or maybe this was prolonged torture. Both were possible.]

[His grumbling stopped once he saw his new digs. A tree house? He could legally live in a tree house and everyone would think that was just peachy? Oh hell yeah. Maybe he judged too soon about these guys. Course, there was the issue about his senses being cut off and his witness protection scheme. Others could have shown up, too...]

[Gabriel suddenly realized that he didn't give two shits anymore. Screw Lucifer and Michael. Screw all of them. Once he gave it a night (actually slept, whoa) and began to get some old powers back, he turned on the console.]

How's it hanging, turtle-fiends? I see that this place has been up and running for awhile now but never fear. Gabriel has arrived. You can now start the party. [No, he doesn't plan on explaining which Gabriel. It's a common name, right? Thanks to him, but whatever.]

First order of business, though. I need some sweets from a sweetie and possibly some good tunes. The sound of nature's great and all, but I prefer the sound of fury, if you catch my drift. Don't want birds nesting in my tree with me.

Second. I was told that I need to get a job. [He shivers in disgust.] Is anyone willing to pay me to eat candy all day? Sex is also an option, but I'm not sure how many of you want to see me in pumps and fishnets.
