[Kurt looks pretty thoughtful as he shows up on the network. He's noticed a lot more posts showing up. The particular, familiar 'I'm new' kind of posts. He taps at his lips before he leans forward a little more.]

I wonder what it means now that people are showing up again. Why such a long period between the last group that showed up and this one, is it taking too much out of the Emperor?

[He frowns and sits back.]

Is this what it's going to be like now? A long break between people showing up or was it just a blip?

[He shrugs as if to move on because wow, that's a lot of questions.]

Anyway, hello to all the new people that've shown up.

Before, people used to turn up once a week, almost like clock work.

How long was the period between new arrivals before? Did they always come in as groups?

It used to happen every week. Never just one person, always a handful. That's why it's been so strange that it's been...quiet in a sense.

Yeah, I can understand that. I wonder why it chose now to start back up. Has it ever happened before? Maybe whatever process she uses to bring us here needed a break. Maybe she needed a break.

Not that I know of, but then I haven't been here from the start of this. That could be it, though I doubt we'll actually find out, the Emperor doesn't seem like the kind to tel us this kind of stuff.

Yeah, I mean I only saw her for a few moments after waking up, but the fact that she doesn't bother explaining anything before leaving the room sort of gives her an air of "I don't have time for you lowly commoners".

...Or is it just me?

You're not the only one. Which makes thing frustrating in a way. You'd think it would be us that were brought here that would have that kind of attitude.

Maybe there was a problem with...materials. [Considering that they're clone bodies.]

Or the Emperor was too busy with the barrier work to do the magic that brings people. Like she has to cast the spell new every time she brings more people in.

I forgot about the barrier. I hope it isn't anything to do with materials.

I wonder if the spells are just registered to her or if what she's capable of doing can be taught.

Even if it wasn't this time, it is something we should be concerned about.

I think even if it can be taught to others, there's no way she would. Especially not to any of us.

No, I didn't think she would it was more just a curiosity on whether there was a spell book or something.

Maybe it could be in a book. It'd probably be in some really old form of the language though.

Do you think we could get our hands on a book like that if it existed?

[Kurt was quiet for a moment and frowned just a little.]

The Emperor said she was busy with the barrier. I assume that was taking most of her time and energy.

[There's a pause, while Arthur considers.]

Maybe there's some target number, we reached it, and now that some people have disappeared she's looking to fill the empty slots? Seemed like quite a few people were disappearing.

[And now potentially even more, if Raven's post is to be believed. Maybe it's something to do with the stability of the dream.]

You know, I didn't even think about the barrier and how that would have affected her. Which is stupid really.

[Kurt hums and strokes his chin as he nods, listening to him.]

It makes sense. I'd want my numbers back up if something was meant to be happening.

If we're supposed to be some kind of army, like she keeps suggesting, I imagine there's also a target number.

Now the question is, what's the number.

No kidding. I mean, 'war' kind of implies something big, but there can't be more than 200 foreigners here right now - including children. That's not an army, by a long shot.
