[Kurt looks pretty thoughtful as he shows up on the network. He's noticed a lot more posts showing up. The particular, familiar 'I'm new' kind of posts. He taps at his lips before he leans forward a little more.]

I wonder what it means now that people are showing up again. Why such a long period between the last group that showed up and this one, is it taking too much out of the Emperor?

[He frowns and sits back.]

Is this what it's going to be like now? A long break between people showing up or was it just a blip?

[He shrugs as if to move on because wow, that's a lot of questions.]

Anyway, hello to all the new people that've shown up.

Maybe there was a problem with...materials. [Considering that they're clone bodies.]

Or the Emperor was too busy with the barrier work to do the magic that brings people. Like she has to cast the spell new every time she brings more people in.

I forgot about the barrier. I hope it isn't anything to do with materials.

I wonder if the spells are just registered to her or if what she's capable of doing can be taught.

Even if it wasn't this time, it is something we should be concerned about.

I think even if it can be taught to others, there's no way she would. Especially not to any of us.

No, I didn't think she would it was more just a curiosity on whether there was a spell book or something.

[Victor frowns slightly before making the video a more private one.]

Maybe it could be in a book. It'd probably be in some really old form of the language though.

Do you think we could get our hands on a book like that if it existed?

[And he keeps it up on his end.]

Then we'd go to the same person and ask for a price.

[Kurt was quiet for a moment and frowned just a little.]

I have a feeling the price for a book like that would be a lot higher than the one we're dealing with now.

Speaking of which, we've got enough money to get the whole thing figured out now. I set up some appointments to get it done.

[He can just nod to that. Kurt didn't think that it would be cheaper.

Fantastic! What's the schedule on them?

We're meeting once almost every week to translate some pages until it's all done. There's a lot so it'll take awhile. I'm making sure to let someone...well, Santo...know where I'm going before I do every time and if anything comes up I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Oh good, I'm glad you're letting someone know.

Keep me updated on what's happening, I'll drop by when I can.

[He nods.] I figured it was a good idea. The guy seems like we can trust him but it's better to play it safe.

I will. I can come by your place instead if that's easier.

Good. [He's oddly proud when he's reminded that the kids are actually smart and thinks that back home, they should really get more credit.]

Either is fine. I might be old [He's not, god!] but I can still get around easily.

[Vic gives another nod. He'd be glad if he knew Kurt thought that. Especially after the Schism, it feels like the older X-men don't give the younger ones any credit anymore.]

Oh, I know you can. I just don't have to worry about cleaning my room if I come over there. [He's just joking of course.]

[Well he knows what they're capable of and that they can hold their own. Especially given that Vic and Santo have been here so long already.

He pauses to hum loudly and taps his bottom lip.]

Hmmm, you bring up a good point. Teenage funk really doesn't mix with sulphur all that well. Ah, but it does mean I have to clean my place. Dilemma.

[He's playing on it and grinning.]

I'm more worried about the smell of rock quarry that's always all over my apartment.

[Vic laughs.]

Maybe we should organize a mutant cleaning party. Gather up and clean one another's suites.

I can see why.

Ha, this could be something.

We'd get both suites cleaned. And Santo's too.

I suppose I should prepare myself then, huh?

We both should. We must prepare for the most dangerous challenge we've ever faced.
