Video; In which cold weather is clearly the best!
[Everyone gets to see two familiar faces this time, with a couple of twists. Dick (the elder) is sitting down in the chair, wearing a bright red coat with white trim, a hat of the same color, and of course, a beard to match the whole thing. It’s pulled down, though, so you can see his face. And his wonderful assistant, Zatanna, is standing behind him, dressed up like the most beautiful elf there is. They’re both looking pretty happy about this.]
It’s getting cold out! And what does cold mean? Holiday fun, of course. So I, and my amazing elf assistant here, have decided that Santa Claus needs to come to the turtle. [See what he did there? See it? Okay, good.]
And so it is with pleasure that we let everyone know-- [He gets cut off as Zatanna leans forward, and he looks up at her.]
[The fifteen-year-old elf bends down until she's level with his ear, covering her mouth so she could whisper something secretively to him.]
Really?
[She nods, and offers a playful wink.] Trust me. I know a guy who knows the guy personally.
[Dick looks back at the screen, and his voice drops into a perfect, heavy Russian accent.] Is this better?
[She practically has to bite her tongue to keep from bursting out laughing. Impressive. She should've known.] It'll do.
[Dick grins.] I’d like to invite everyone to come over to the Wood sector, where we have a little holiday party going on.
[He stops, laughing and shaking his head. He has to drop the Russian accent.] Okay, I can’t keep that one up, but I tried! Anyway, we’ve got a small thing going on in a café in the Wood sector, with some cakes and gingerbread-ish things, and some hot drinks. And what would Santa be without his...
[He holds up a huge, red velvet-like bag.] Bag, yes! And it is filled with little odds and ends, so there are presents for all!
[Dick sets the bag down, and pulls the beard back up with a grin.] And to all, a good... day? Yeah, that still works. To all, a good day! Remember, café in the Wood sector, we’ll be here awhile!
[ooc: Action is absolutely welcome.]

Action;
Maybe you’re related. [She can’t help but grin as she says that.]
Wait, he’s married? [That got skated over in the explanations she’s received of the jolly man. North or Santa Claus, depending who she was talking to.]
Action;
If I was related to Santa Claus, you couldn't keep me from telling everyone. But now I'm going to have to go through my family tree, and see what I can find. [He grins back, taking a bite of a cookie. Which he then has to try and swallow really fast.]
Yeah, of course he's married! [He coughs.] How have you not heard about Mrs. Claus?!
Action;
Does this mean you won't be giving out gifts? [Teasing.]
All I know about North is that he's called Santa Claus, works in the North Pole to give kids gifts on Christmas Day. But yeah, I guess that makes sense. I mean he's old enough to be married, right?
[Most bearded people she knew where married, so that all makes sense in her head.]
Action;
Are you kidding me? Of course I'm giving out gifts! I've got a sack full of them, everyone is going home with something. [He's got a ton of gifts to give out. Not super great ones, but they needed bulk.]
We really need to find you a book or something, like 'A Visit from Saint Nicholas'. [He could recite it, though. For future reference.] He's old enough to be married, yup. He lives and works in the North Pole, is married to Mrs. Claus, and he and his elves make toys for kids for Christmas, which he delivers by going down people's chimneys and leaving them under the tree. It's pretty awesome.
Action;
Of all the luck, my extended family gets to be in the North Pole with him and I’m stuck down South. [Kidding. She likes her home.]
What if there isn’t a chimney? [Her suite doesn’t have one.
oops]Action;
Oh, I don't know, the South Pole is the one with all the penguins. I kind of prefer that one, apparently there are yetis in the North Pole. [Yetis, Korra. Yetis.
Dick shakes his head.] From what I remember, mostly from movies, he can make a fireplace wherever there isn't one. Or he goes through a window, I don't think it matters, so long as he gets to drop the presents off.
Action;
Amazingly, she’s not surprised about the yetis.] Yeah, they help out North make toys I think. Or Santa Claus. Jack told me.
[Jokingly:] Zatanna makes a much better elf I think.
Action;
How did everyone know this before me? Yetis. Yetis help make the toys. It's like my whole childhood has been a lie, I swear. All the movies need to be redone, they're getting the whole thing wrong now.
[Dick laughs.] I think she makes the greatest elf, and any Santa Claus would be lucky to have her. I know I lucked out... probably because she's just as crazy as I am!
Action;
[Giving a playful, patronizing look:] She manages to put up with me and so do you, crazy’s an understatement.
