[Today, Molly's sprawled out in a chair near her console. Behind her, a decorated Christmas tree is shimmering, sometimes existing, other times not, colored lights twinkling on the ceiling. It's really only an excuse to practice -- and to get a bit of the Christmas spirit in her, too.]

So, uh, happy turtle birthday to me, I guess. Do I get some sort of prize for being here a year?

[There's a pause, in which some people might be able to make out the faint sounds of Nat King Cole singing 'The Christmas Song', and Molly bites her lip a bit.]

I wasn't in much condition to pay attention last year, but. Christmas. Does anyone do anything for it around here? 'Cause I probably will, if anyone is interested. You might want to stay away if you have a thing about magic, though.

Last year, Favrielle made the Masque happen. Midwinter Masque, but it worked close enough for Christmas.

I don't think anybody's been planning anything like that, not really. Though I'm sure you could team up with Jack and offer some... how's that term. Cultural exchange, to the kids here?

[ He's just guessing she's missing her younger siblings and their excitement... almost more than anything else. ]

Maybe we could, yeah. [Though she sounds a little leery about the whole idea of working with Jack. ....What, the Winter Court still makes her somewhat uneasy, even though he's not really associated with that at all.]

[ Bucky's eyebrow rises, but he... won't comment. Out loud. Not now. ]

Wanna share some of the new-food spoils I got from the land of white, out there?

[ Three cities. Introducing variety! ]

Sure. [There's a small smile.] What'd they have in the cities? I didn't spend much time in them.

[ Totally deadpan. ]

[Aaaand deadpan right back.] Such amazing variety. I'm shocked.

[ And, maybe half and hour later, he's knocking at her door, food carried. And a winter flower in a pot. He holds it forward, first. ]

To make company to the that Christmas tree you've got going, occasionally.

Aww, thanks. [She takes it and ushers him inside, leaning to give him a bit of a kiss.]

Maybe if I concentrate hard enough I can make it smell like actual pine.

[ Kiss, kiss it is, soft and easy, and then following her inside, heading towards the kitchenette to settle the food he's brought. ]

You know, if you get in touch with people making scented... things here, you could make a killing, letting them reproduce smells from home.

[ Easy, light. But also slightly nostalgic, even from him. Pine. He hasn't smelled pine in a very long time. Pine and snow, and mud. Somehow, even that combination wouldn't be too unwelcome, of a sudden. ]

I could try. [She purses her lips, somewhat doubtful.] I can do sounds and sights, easy, but I haven't really tried scents before.

Hey, it's an idea.

[ He leans closer, kissing her cheek lightly. ]

Have a merry Christmas, you know? We'll make it so.

'Course we will. We have good people to spend it with.

[ And he gives a grin back, reaching to tip her chin up, stroking the tip with the pat of his thumb. ]

[ Then he leans back. ]
