[Today, Molly's sprawled out in a chair near her console. Behind her, a decorated Christmas tree is shimmering, sometimes existing, other times not, colored lights twinkling on the ceiling. It's really only an excuse to practice -- and to get a bit of the Christmas spirit in her, too.]

So, uh, happy turtle birthday to me, I guess. Do I get some sort of prize for being here a year?

[There's a pause, in which some people might be able to make out the faint sounds of Nat King Cole singing 'The Christmas Song', and Molly bites her lip a bit.]

I wasn't in much condition to pay attention last year, but. Christmas. Does anyone do anything for it around here? 'Cause I probably will, if anyone is interested. You might want to stay away if you have a thing about magic, though.

Do you realize I had quite forgotten about it in all of this?

[And that's genuinely the truth. Enjolras was aware it was colder and such but, let's face it, without a semester switchover? Enjolras would just have ended up flailing around until Christmas Eve or what it would have been. But. more important than that? He's kind of gaping at the young lady's hair. Is that...natural? How does one ASK?]

One year though, really? I salute that.

I almost did too, until we made our last stop. [And she's just giving him a slightly amused look, sitting up, and then the Christmas tree winks out of existence again behind her.]

Yeah, one year. I miss Chicago.

[All right, that's certainly new, even with magic as a factor and all. It's certainly intriguing at any rate. Enjolras's eyebrow is rising, almost as if he's imitating Combeferre.]

I do know the feeling. I quite miss Paris, though it has not been so long as that. Near...half I think?

Maybe. [She brushes her hair back behind her ears and gives Enjolras a tiny smirk.]

So you're another one of the French guys? I'm Molly, nice to meet you.

Last year, Favrielle made the Masque happen. Midwinter Masque, but it worked close enough for Christmas.

I don't think anybody's been planning anything like that, not really. Though I'm sure you could team up with Jack and offer some... how's that term. Cultural exchange, to the kids here?

[ He's just guessing she's missing her younger siblings and their excitement... almost more than anything else. ]

Maybe we could, yeah. [Though she sounds a little leery about the whole idea of working with Jack. ....What, the Winter Court still makes her somewhat uneasy, even though he's not really associated with that at all.]

[ Bucky's eyebrow rises, but he... won't comment. Out loud. Not now. ]

I've never heard of 'Christmas' before my arrival here, but we did celebrate midwinter in Ancelstierre.

I've heard of glamors before- and I know it's possible to work them with Charter Magic, but I've never actually used one! [Pardon Sabriel's tiny magic geek-out.]

[ Which is pretty much saying that she's "good" except she can't really say "good" to Molly. They still might have to go home and if they remembered these events it would be important to maintain neutrality and keep unattached. Which is an impossibly uphill battle, but the Archive had gotten pretty good at denial. ]
