[He needs to stop thinking that he's incapable of being surprised. By the end of the Battle of New York, Steve thought he had seen it all. Insane technology, other worlds, aliens... What else could there possibly be?

The answer, of course, is a giant turtle in a realm outside the continuity of time. He had a long chat about nearly everything with the locals that helped him earlier, but it's still crazy, and he probably wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen some of the turtle shell himself.

Yet here he is. It'll probably all sink in over time; Steve's been overloaded with so much information over the past few hours and it's exhausting, even for him.

Getting on the computer hadn't been his top priority, but he's already gone outside of his new home and back. Steve's experienced enough culture shock for today. He might as well at least reach out and introduce himself to all of the other people who wound up here like him.

Once he's got the computer up and running, he accesses the network using the video function. He looks a little stiff and probably as exhausted as he feels, but that's the least of his concerns right now.]

Hello. My name's Steve Rogers. The kedin- kedan? - brought me up to speed already, but I only just arrived here a few hours ago.

[Maybe longer than that. He hasn't exactly been keeping track of time. In any case, it's really jarring to be talking to a computer screen and not actually know who's on the other end.]

I have a couple questions that I'd like to have verified. [It doesn't necessarily mean he'll believe whatever he's told, but second opinions are typically useful.] We're all more or less stuck on this turtle, right? But there's a way back.

[That's a question as well, but it ends up sounding more like a statement. It sounds like a reasonable assumption. There obviously isn't a rush since no time is passing back home; he just wants to know.]

The other question I have is about jobs. Since it looks like I'll be here awhile, I'll start looking soon. Does anyone know which places are hiring offhand?

[He pauses for a moment before adding a 'thank you.']

[Oh, Thor. Steve likes him; his clothing is weird, but he's a good man. Of course, he didn't have much time to get to know him, but it was rather nice having someone who was also new to the modern world. Even if was for different reasons.]

Likewise. [Technically, it hasn't been a long time since he's seen Thor, but a lot has definitely happened since then.]

I already spoke to him. Apparently Stark Industries was in need of an art department. [That's one way to put it, really.] He also said your mother is here.

[Is your brother? That's the question he doesn't ask.]

[Allies already helping each other so soon is exactly what he's been wanting to hear. While it may seem like a turtle vacation to some, Thor's fully aware the threat they face is lying in wait.]

She is. [The unspoken question isn't one he misses.]

You'll find that I am not the only Thor here, much like Stark and his counterpart. [He's getting as much of a crash course on alternate realities as the next superhero.]

And much like myself, his brother is here as well. [There's that answer.]

[It's going to take some getting used to having doubles all over the place, but he's aware there was even another version of himself at some point.]

There's more of us here than I realised.

[Steve's not sure what to think of there being two Lokis here. Of course, he can't do anything about that; Thor's younger brother simply left a horrid impression with the attempt of world domination, killing innocents, and destroying Manhattan. It's not something that he'll likely forgive.]

He won't cause any problems, will he?

[There are more important things to be concerned about this, after all.]

[Even Thor’s unsure how to handle two Lokis being here. One’s been enough to turn his normal life upside down. As normal as an Asgardian life can be anyway.]

I cannot say.

[Not after he’s seen his brother die to save his life, only to wind up in the realm between Life, Dreaming, and Death.]

With so many others that are like us, I wouldn't think him to be foolish enough to try. Not with what looms before us.

[He’s seriously becoming a pro at facing world destroying monstrosities.]

My eye will be on him, you have my word of it.

[Steve doesn't trust Loki as far as he can throw him, but he trusts Thor, especially since he was so willing to help stop Loki and all of the crazy things going on.

So when Thor says he'll keep an eye on Loki, Steve believes him.]

Alright. I do hope you're right.

[There's little else he can say about it, but he'll keep an eye out as well.]

From what I've heard, something big is coming. I would be honoured to fight alongside you again.

[He’s going out on a limb for Loki in not condemning him right away, but it’s what he feels is right. Especially after he saved both his and Jane’s life.]

Always good to have an ally by my side. [Grin.] Makes it more fun.

[He just might have been keeping score for himself in New York.]

Until that time comes, anything of mine that you may need is yours.

When you put it that way, I'm inclined to agree as well.

[He has a horrible definition of fun, but Thor does make good competition. To the latter offer, he nods.]
