Am I the only one who thinks it's suspicious how, in the weeks around the Emperor's murder, our presence is suddenly graced with a pair of queens, a princess, a prince, and whatever that horned kid is? It's not the first grouping I've noticed.

What makes you think it's so suspicious? You said yourself there have been other groupings.

Other groupings that haven't coincided with life on the turtle. This is a new combo.

Can you be sure of that? I mean we were all made aware of the Emperor's death but have you been checking to see if there were others that coincided with other groupings? And not just deaths, anything at all?

Yeah, I looked. Nothing stuck out to me. Too many females or males isn't as specific as this. You want to wade through the archives and prove me wrong, be my guest.

There's other things to worry about. I just don't think there's anything really suspicious about who showed up when yet. Maybe if we start getting even more royalty or nothing but...

It's like you're deliberately missing the fucking point. Everyone's surprised to wind up here. I think that's universally true. I'm not suggesting these people are here as some sort of sweeping multiverse plot. I'm saying that there is possibly someone making what -seems- to be random chance less random.

[Vic sighs and gives the screen a slightly annoyed look.]

Who's got the power to interfere with the magic and why narrow it down like this?

That's why I'm asking. We already know that the Resident Evil packs some serious juice. Maybe he's practicing. Maybe he just wants to see if it works. Maybe he wants to slip in as part of a group of new "arrivals." I told someone else that it might've been the Turtle himself. It's not like I can ask him, and I'm not about to call Malos so I can ask him either.

I don't think he needs to slip in. He's already here judging by the messages he's left. If he's practicing, then we need to figure out what for. I imagine it's possible to ask him but I doubt you'd get a straight answer.

There is some way we can talk to the turtle without getting brain scrambled anyway. A few of us have done it before. He sort of...visited our dreams.

He's already here. That doesn't mean that he's here as a known foreigner. Foreigners are more accounted for. Coming in a pack of new arrivals, maybe taking one's place... suddenly, he can earn our trust.

He could but there's the question of why. I mean he's here and we can't find him, he's bound to have eyes and ears on the Turtle and definitely has them on the Network. Why would he go through the trouble of trying to fake being one of us too? Why not the Kedan if he hasn't already done that.

Because there's a difference between breaking in and infiltrating. Only one gets you full access.

[Victor is quiet a moment, looking thoughtful. He's not entirely convinced there's anything to be concerned with.]

What do you think we should do about it then? Psychic scan all new arrivals or something?
