Video

[The video feed clicks onto the lovely grinning visage of Ixis Naugus, staff in hand, a pile of writing books to one side.]

Fellow Foreigners of Keeliai, I ask that you indulge me in what could be a bit of census-taking!

In the interest of further defending this turtle and those who reside upon it, I wish to know and take note who among us are versed in magicks and similiar abilities. I feel it would suit our collective purpose better to have this information compiled, perhaps look into how our respective crafts interact or can be enhanced. Please, come forward, fellow casters; tell me your name and tell me your arts!

In the interest of fairness and demonstration of goodwill, I will state my own. I am Ixis Naugus and I specialize in, of course, Ixian magicks. The focus of such being the control and transformation of the four elements: air, water, fire and earth. I am a master of all four as well as a fifth of my own making, the transformation of matter into crystals nigh indestructible.

Come forth and make yourselves known, wizard heroes of Tu Vishan!

Hmmmm...not a fan of Holy then. Right. And trust me when I say I am quite able to control it.

[This angel will just cross out the part of speaking of that unless prompted. Not everybody is a fan of angelic business.]

I once went back in time to change a few things around. Caused a nasty chain reaction of events.
knewtoomuch: (you are hilarious)

[He has a feeling that those flat ears are not going to be flicking up any time soon especially after what he was about to tell him about his adventures in time.]

You know how a song just gets stuck in your head? Imagine that AND it being tied to a really stupid movie! I didn't like this one song, so I decided to go back in time and stop the whole nasty business of some ship sinking. I saved a lot of people from drowning, you know!

[That did not stop Fate from trying to kill all of those descendants that would not have been born otherwise in the worst ways. Not that it mattered.]

I did end up having to sink that ship again myself when it kind of...backfired. Everything was back to normal. No harm done, right?

[What a pleasant surprise! There may be hope for this yet! This doesn't happen often for him with the cards in his favor.]

To be perfectly honest, it didn't concern me. No harm, no foul if nobody remembered what happened. Good to know that I'm not the only one that dabbles in time.

Taxing? Well...when I came here, my world essentially had lost the rules that governed it. Normally it would cause quite the drain depending on how it was used. We could take others with us for the ride. I imagine that it might be tougher to use here.

And that's a good word for me. I just like to have a little fun every now and then. Nothing wrong with that.

Hmmm you may be right about that. Seems like more trouble than it's worth generally.

It's kind of a long story...but I will do my best to shorten it. Where I come from, my world looks over another world. The creator of these worlds hasn't been around, so there are those that sought to claim the throne so to speak.

With nobody really taking over and overseeing anything, without fate following the path that was foreseen, the rules just sort of disappeared. Whatever restraints we had on us were lifted and suddenly all of my abilities I was hardly breaking a sweat over.

If you ask me, that was a gift.
knewtoomuch: (will just side eye that)

Oh, no forgiveness is needed! I am quite interested in the worlds of others. In a place like this, that is practically the only reason I am not swimming in boredom.

I am not a fan of the sort of fate that is decided for me ahead of time. I attempted to alter my own fate once. Can't really say that worked out. If you ask me, no overseer would be better than one that is blinded to leadership. Neither here nor there though.

Well...so far my movements have not been hampered which means I can be wherever I like on this turtle without wasting a bit of energy. That's...essentially all I have really used here so far to a longer extent. Still strong as well...I haven't noticed a difference so far.

[Do not mind his rambling.]

[Teleportation. Flying somewhere in a the blink of an eye with angel power. Same difference to Balthazar.]

It is quite handy indeed. I don't know what I would do if I had to walk everywhere. Walking is highly overrated sometimes. As for my other abilities...well...just the usual: Any terrible injuries to my body I can heal up quite nicely. Telekinesis...invulnerability to diseases...I don't think that those would all be considered light though. I'm an angel if that helps.

I'm pleased that you see fate in much the same way that I do. Fate never did anything, but hold us all back from our potential if you ask me. It sounds like fate has a way of taking care of those that wield too much power though.

Never heard of these Ancient Walkers. If that happens to be code for those that desire partying then they would be right up my alley....but in all seriousness, you are quite perceptive. I essentially did rebel, but not so publicly as some of my other brethren did before and after me.

Sometimes faking death is necessary to avoid all the red tape.
knewtoomuch: (pleased to hear that)

[personal profile] knewtoomuch 2014-01-27 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Very close, if not painfully so, to the ones from my world. Once the overseer, in my case the creator of all, disappeared then the most loyal ones stepped forward to take that place. They might as well have been these Ancient Walkers.

It should have been so easy to fake my own death, but I had to plan it accordingly. It would've worked out absolutely fantastic. Some just cannot help, but stick their noses where they do not belong.

Well, that's flattering indeed! No need for the Sir Angel, as lovely as that sounds to be frank. Balthazar is what I go by.

Perhaps my own world will fall into that one day and the creator and anything like them that wants to keep everything under a specific fate will die off on their own. I'd like to see an age of choosing one's own fate. Maybe that's what here is for.

[He would love to hear that story sometime. Maybe later and he will tell Ixis about how he stole weapons from Heaven. Indeed all for another time.]

I already find the inhabitants here to be more amiable. Even the ones with sticks up their asses. They are at least entertaining enough to watch. Always nice to sit on the sidelines and not having to be forced into participating.

[He will bow his head slightly in greeting.]

May your other chance meetings be just as lucrative in the friendly spectrum as this one has been, Ixis. It is delightful to have intelligent conversations every now and then.

Well then. All I can really say here is 'Until next we meet' and all that.

[This chance meeting could become quite lucrative. He gives a friendly waggle of his fingers before the feed cuts off here.]
