[He thought a good night’s sleep would cure him from this weariness, but when he woke up in the room he remembered seeing in his dream well that was more than enough information to let him know this was real. That’s unreal. Maybe if he were a knight, it’d be different, but he discarded that idea some time ago.

I get that, really, but shouldn’t I get some say in whether I want to fight? [His voice sounds weary, still tired from all this despite getting sleep. Is there some sort of training facility around? I mean, if they want us to fight, we gotta keep up with our skills, right? If not, I’d love to have a sparring partner or two. [He grins at this point, excited at the thought of fighting otherworldy people. Are they strong? Can they actually put a scratch on him? If they can kick his ass then that’s even better. It’ll help Yuri get stronger.]

Also, I was told I needed to ‘find a job’. [He almost scoffs at this statement. The only jobs he’s had are guild jobs. Oh, and being a knight, but that didn’t go well.] I’m pretty handy with a sword and a spatula, so there’s my resume. [Cooking is even better because that gets him close to sweets to satiate his sweet tooth. He’d call that pretty even pay.]

Well, hope this went through. If not, then I probably made myself sound like an idiot trying. [He gives a lopsided grin, chuckling at the end as he’s trying to figure out how to send this and turn it off. After a few seconds of fumbling, he finally gets it.]

I wouldn't call myself a terror, but it's all stuff I learned while cooking for myself since that was better than the alternative. [You know, that alternative when your best friend thinks he can cook... but he can't... and insists on making lots of meals for you...

He laughs at that story of the tuna fish.] Can't be any worse than someone making a sandwich by slapping a raw egg between two slices of bread. Though how do you ruin tunafish?

Being brought here suddenly is hardly as trying as remaining here for months on end, I'm finding. Far be it from me to protest an unexpected vacation! But my patience is wearing a little thin after all this time.

[This 'vacation' thing is brought up again by yet another person. Almost makes it seem like they want Yuri to kick back and take it easy. Sure, he can do that, but he's still in a slight state of panic (even if he's not showing it).]

Is it really a vacation when you were doing something kind of important where you're from? Well, maybe it's a sign we weren't doing the right thing, but I thought it was better than the alternative.

Well, according to all our sources, time essentially 'stops' back home, which has lead to rather a lot of people feeling it's best to use this as an - in some cases - well-warranted rest stop.
