[Gene turns on the feed and is about to speak. He opens his mouth to say something, and then, quite suddenly - there is a large amount of snow coating his hair. And half the inside of his suite. Among the snow is a vast collection of random junk, including some Angry Birds robots and other things people may recognize as once belonging to an absentee trickster god.

Also there's a bloodhound. A bloodhound which is rolling around in the snow and saying indistinct things about entrails and murder. Standard stuff, really, for a bloodhound.

Gene closes his mouth, whatever he was about to say forgotten in the wake of this new fuckery. He looks back, taking in the scene behind him for a good five seconds, and turns back to the camera, his face a mask of utter, dangerous calm.]

Loki...

[He takes a deep breath. The mask of calm shatters when he yells:]

...what the fuck?!

[Well that was a close one. Nice dodging skills there, Gene. Scott whistles lightly at all the fire.]

Maybe if you tried using its name? [Dogs are smart creatures, right?] Does it even have a name?

I don't know. I'll ask it. [He turns again.] Do you have a name?

[Thori stares at him, slavering. "I AM FIRE. I AM DEATH."]

I'm going to take that as a 'no'.

[And at that, Scott completely fails to hold in a chuckle. It's like this is straight out of some overly dramatic Broadway musical.]

I dunno, "Fiery Death" sounds pretty badass for a name. Or maybe just cheesy.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that it won't answer to 'Fluffy'.

But if you got it from a trickster god, it might just.

What are you going to do with it if no one wants to take him? Just dump him outside. That doesn't seem very PETA-friendly.

[Gene's a little taken aback at the idea of abandoning the creature, and it shows. Weakness, Zhang would call it, no mark of a true Mandarin. He does not want to think about what Zhang would do or say. Down that path lies madness.]

If it comes to that, I suppose I'll have to keep it, [he says grudgingly.] But I'm sure Loki will come to get it when he tires of this little prank.

[He'd better, anyway...!]

[Scott glances at the hellhound again, one eyebrow raised.]

I hope that's only a couple of days for you then, otherwise you're not going to have any furniture left by the end of it.
