Well someone here has completely dropped the ball. I know there are at least a few people around who are rich and Earth-savvy enough to get everyone presents for the month. Maybe celebrate the break from so much cold or the coming of good fortune or something like that. We could use a celebration right about now.

At the very least, I'll try to do my part. [Tony gives the network a winning smile and holds up a small, strange-looking flower playfully. It almost makes the next part sound more like a joke than any real offer.] I've got a few too many of these, so if anyone would like to take them off my hands, I'll be happy to give you a discount.

And if you're available, Miss Frost, I'd love to spend some quality time with you. If your schedule will allow it, of course.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm personally missing my chocolate.

I might. I could rent a cart and have a little stand at the market for the kedan to buy from. Or start cultivating a rare new species that glows in the dark. You think that would sell?

[Thank God for friendly faces. He needs them, considering most people who recognize him tend to use much less appealing wording when they address him. A smile and a friendly joke is a rare commodity these days. He'd say invaluable, but that might be a little too cheesy.]

How are you? Settling in okay? [What he really means is "When did you get here?" But that is way too obvious.]

[An easy chuckle.] I'd get one, if I wasn't at risk of setting it on fire every time I had to get somewhere. It's bad enough I live in the wood sector.

[He'd only met Iron Man for a few years, when he was with the West Coast Avengers- but when you keep dying and waking up years later, when everyone around you goes away or changes- a man kind of ends up latching onto everyone around him.]

I've settled in alright, luckily Bucky and Toro both have brought me up to speed. And had a lot of good things to say about you.

How did you end up there of all places? You know there's a Fire Sector, right?

[As if Jim even had a choice. He hasn't seen this Torch for a long time, but time seems to be pretty mixed on Asti's back. As far as he knows, Jim might be from the 40's. That is, he could be, except that he recognizes Tony.]

Did they? I guess that's a plus. They're both good people...

[As much as he wants to be reserved, Tony can't help but smile.]

I've been asking myself the same thing. I guess a firebug living there was too much of a cliche, but you don't see the Atlanteans in the fire sector.

[Though he does wonder why it was wood, specifically. Toro had also been sent there, yet others had been sent to sectors that worked well with their powers... Jim intends to find out if there's a pattern.]

And I'm glad to see one, as well. Would you like to meet, or are you busy with Miss Frost? [Anyone else might get the wrong impression about that, Jim assumes whatever is going to happen will end up with Tony's ass kicked. Marvel life.]

Maybe it's a joke. A really bad joke.

[In Tony's opinion it's all a bad joke. He's gotten used to Keeliai in some ways, but he hasn't forgotten that familiar faces come in doubles sometimes, or that they're occasionally not quite right, or that they all eventually leave.

The teasing is welcome. It's nice to know one person seems to recognize what's going on, which gives Tony a little more faith in the Avengers as a whole, despite their current status or affiliation.]

Oh, I'm sure she'll keep me busy, [And he's not looking forward to that nearly as much as he pretends to.] but I can always make time. You don't mind waiting until she's through with me, right?

Hardly. [A gentle smile. With all the years he spent his version of 'dead', over and over, he always feels it's rude to rush people when he was the one making them wait for so long.]

Call this number whenever you've got time to catch up, and I'll come.

It shouldn't take too long. [Because it's Emma, and too long would probably end very badly for him.]

Just a little business. You know how it goes. But I always have time to catch up with you. [And he's a little more enthusiastic than just polite, because it's something he can look forward to.]

Same goes to you. [Jim was honestly expecting him to be... well, polite, because he met Tony when he was back to trying to manipulate everyone into believing he wasn't Iron Man once more- even the team. He knows Tony is able to be nice to people if needed, no matter the situation.

But the actual... excitement? It's kind of a pleasant surprise. Maybe he'd underestimated the effect not having people from your same world around while having others from other universes could have. Even though Bucky had warned him.] It's really nice talking to you, Stark. Good luck in your- business.

[He's a little lonely. Maybe a little tired of being the bad guy, because Tony isn't that good at taking negative reactions. He'd like to be, but it never seems to work out. Seeing Jim is a pleasant surprise, so, yes, he's a little happier than usual.

And same-world solidarity is a thing. There's no denying it.]

[A raised eyebrow, along with an amused grin.] If you manage to find somewhere in this place where there's actual, honest to God coffee I'll be there faster than you can say firebug.

We can find you some coffee. I'll invent something if I have to.

[He grins back. Tony knows how ridiculous that one sounds. Then again, he's been known to pull off the impossible before.]

Is this somehow going to end with a sentient coffee machine? Because while I'm sure it will give me intelligent conversation I'd have issues with getting coffee from a fellow AI.

I promise not to give you a talking coffee brewer. [He raises his hand with a half grin.]

Although you have to admit that's a pretty good idea. Improving your coffee one trial at a time. We'd have the best coffee ever developed.

And I'd eventually lead a movement to save the coffee machine from people who'd overwork it. I think we'd do better skipping that whole idea and saving it as plan 'B'.
