[Victor is looking straight into the camera; he's got nothing to hide, after all. He seems fairly nonchalant about being here, and he mostly is, except for a couple of concerns about people he's left behind. Sure, giant turtle cities are pretty weird as alternate dimensions go, but he can cope. At least people seem to be friendly enough, and it does sound like his help might be needed.]

Hey. My name's Victor, and I just got here, so I thought I'd say hi and see who else is here. I, uh, don't think many people will recognise me, unless my friends turned up as well and I just didn't see them. Mostly I'm looking for a couple of kids called Molly and Klara, so if anyone sees them can they let me know?

[He shrugs, and looks down at the console itself, now looking a little confused.]

Anyone know how these consoles work? I usually do okay with technology, but I can't even tell what these are made of. I don't want to mess around with them if I don't know if I can read the code... if they even run on code.

[He'll avoid mentioning why he's usually good with technology, though. He's not sure what kind of prejudices people even have here, and cyborgs usually make people a little uncomfortable even at home. He looks up again suddenly, having just remembered something.]

Speaking of which, I'm meant to find a job, apparently. Anyone know anyone who needs a mechanic or an electrician? I'm not officially trained, but I'm good for an amateur and I pick things up pretty quickly.

You're not making a fool of yourself. This place can be really confusing, for anyone. People get picked up from different times and places and even different worlds. The population of the city is of shapeshifters, and the city itself is on the back of a giant turtle. I'm pretty sure any non-violent behavior can be excused, in the circumstances.

[ And, softer. ]

You, too. I wish we'd found a way to get back out west, after the whole registration mess was over.

[ And before they'd set off to search for the Scarlet Witch. ]

I don't know which Victor you're talking to, from here I look pretty stupid.

[But he's smiling anyway.]

It would have been nice, yeah. Or having any way of getting to New York, but I don't think they'd have let me get away that long. Uh, except we were out there for the Skrulls. Were you there for that?

[He'd also been pretty heart-broken at the time over Lillie. Still was, in some ways, but he'd been trying to accept there was no way of meeting her again. No point bringing that up here, but he does look away from the camera briefly.]

Other than that, yeah. Xavin kind of left, and if you haven't met her we picked up a new kid, Klara, but apart from that everyone was fine yesterday.

[ She nods, with a slight frown of concern. A member leaving the team... She hasn't quite seen it (Nate's situation doesn't quite match), but Teddy said that Tommy and Eli left the team, after what happened to her and Jonas, and. She's not sure what that means. ]

Right. Well, if everything I've learned about this place is true, you're just gonna go back to when you're from and so you'll find them fine again!

Probably for the best. I'm not sure how well any of them would take it if I up and vanished, and not just because of the whole thing with my family. Who I'm trying not to mention by name, at least for now.

[He shrugs, because it's not actually vital or anything. Most people have probably never even heard of Ultron here, it's just it's not like anyone needs to know, right?]

So, uh, serious conversation out of the way and all, you want to meet up properly some point?

I'm pretty sure I can manage not mentioning family. But if you realize family's showing up, and you need help, I'll be there.

[ It's not even an afterthought, the words come out without hesitation. From what she knows, Ultron is probably a bit out of her league, but, well. When did that ever stop her? Ever? Especially if somebody needs help? ]

[ She does brighten at the question, though. ]

Yep! Absolutely. We can see if I know enough to make a tour of the place? Or just. Hang out. Or go shopping! Well, first days it can be more like window shopping, but, if you're interested...

I'm really hoping not, but... thanks for the offer.

[He smiles again. He's not sure he'd take her up on the offer, not if there's any chance there's still any chance he might be made to hurt her, but... it's nice to know she still cares at least a little.]

I still have most of the allowance they gave me. Never thought I'd be grateful for all the budgeting and bargain hunting Nico made us do, but it's helping. I'm probably going to need clothes pretty soon, though, I came here with pretty much what I was wearing and not much else.

You don't even wanna know what I showed up in. I can totally understand that one.

The local generic clothing tends to the Chinese, but it can be really comfy?

Considering like literally the last thing I remember is getting dressed to head downstairs in the middle of the night, I think I'm pretty lucky to have turned up in clothes at all. 30 minutes earlier, I'd still have been asleep.

[Yeah, okay, time to change topic.]

Pretty much anything's fine, I'm used to shopping on the cheap so whatever fits and doesn't break the bank.

[ Cassie manfully doesn't giggle, though her eyes do crinkle. ]

I'm. Pretty sure somebody would have helped out. You could've used the audio function. Or a blanket.

[ Innocent, innocent blinking. ]

And, all right. I'll pick you up and we can sort of. Wander about. With or without actual marktplaces, depends on your noise tolerance.

[Victor flushes red, and moves on like he never said anything.]

Marketplaces are fine. We used to go to them sometimes for cheap food, so I'm used to them.

[He hesitates, and smiles properly.]

Doesn't need to be today. I can manage another day, I guess, and there's not that much of today left.

[ She can roast him about things like this another time. Too well does she remember how tired she was, after she showed up, after all. ]

All righty! Get some rest, and give me a holler when you're up for going around?

Tomorrow any good? I really don't want to live in these clothes any longer than I have to.

Tomorrow's absolutely fine, yep! I work in the morning, but how's early afternoon sound?
